  1. I know some people have wondered, and I know I was wondering pre-surgery, so I'll put my input and experience out there. I am now 2 1/2 months post-op, 50 pounds lost, and successfully breastfeeding without issue. I don't know if I'm lucky, or if the womans body really is such a wonderful thing, but we've not had any set backs and it's been smooth sailing. That is all :]] **I know this post only applies to a small number of ladies, but I was looking for a post like this pre-surgery!
  2. And 40 pounds down! I feel and look like a totally different person. I'm thrilled with the results of this surgery. So glad I was able to go through with it! What are some of the best work outs in your opinion? I'm trying to work some new stuff into the usual walking/hiking/elliptical workouts
  3. Hey guys, so I had my surgery 18 days ago. Everything has been smooth and wonderful. Except about 45 minutes ago I woke up completely nauseated, light headed, and extremely thirsty. I've not been able to calm my stomach yet. I've had to run to the bathroom a couple times. Is something wrong? Or am I just maybe getting normal sick? Unrelated to my sleeve? I'm worried something is wrong since this is the first time I've felt sickness with the sleeve...
  4. Oh my gosh that's scary, because that next day the site where my IV was swelled up, like bad. It only hurt when I touched it, and I applied ice at work for hours it seemed. It went down and bruised for the first time. It's still bruised but no longer hurting. And I think I will go. I hadn't even thought about it. Where is it at?
  5. Oh my gosh! That is crazy! You're okay now though? Do you live over here? If so, we should keep up with each other and kinda have our own little support thing going on. I don't think you're much younger than me. I'm barely 23. Haha.
  6. Hey~ the nurse I saw when I got my staples out said the 2nd phase is for week 2 and 3, so I start phase 3 on this Monday. [My surgery was June 18th]
  7. Hahaha thank you so much! I'll take all that :]]
  8. Well, I just got my staples out and I'm down 25 pounds since pre-op diet..so 3 weeks ago! I'm stoked. I got all my lab work back and not a single note was off. The dr. was thrilled to tell me that every level, every test, everything was perfect. I'm just plan old overweight! NOT FOR LONG THOUGH! Anyways, I'm now into full liquids. Any good soups anyone can reccomend, or shakes that taste good and go down easy? Thanks so much!
  9. I'm 5 days out, on a clear liquid diet. And starting this morning, any time I drink something that isn't plain water, I end up running to the bathroom and being in there for awhile emptying out. Sorry if TMI. I just hurt so bad. I had some broth at lunch, almost instantaneously it seemed to go through me. Whats the deal?

    How Long Befire Gas Pains

Stupid iPhone. How long before gas pains go away? I'm sorry for spelling errors!!
  11. Ow long before gas pains and bloating go away? I'm 4 days post op and it is wearing me down. I feel so full because of all the bloating. Any advice on what to do? I'm walking, drinking and taking gas x. Whats the next few days or weeks look like?
  12. I had my surgery yesterday morning and was supposed to go home today. They say I'm "borderline dehydrated" so I'll have to stay until tomorrow. That part confuses me though because I've been on nonstop fluids, drinking 1oz or more every 15 minutes, and my pee is practically clear! (sorry if tmi) my dad thinks they're milking the fact I've got two private insurances paying for all this. I just want to get home to my baby. How long were you in hospital??
  13. My surgery was scheduled for 7:30 this morning. It's 8 and I'm still in the lobby. Not even to pre-op. I'm running out of patience and I'm so tired. Blah. Okay end of rant //

    Breastfeeding And The Sleeve

I don't think I have to wean him. I just think he has began the process himself, so I'm not to worried anymore. I'll pump at the hospital and nurse him as soon as I'm home and we'll see how it goes.
