chicagochic got a reaction from Pinkgirl1234 in Post op
My surgery was 5.5 hours due to other scar tissue from previous surgeries. My doctor knew ahead of time that it might be a lengthy procedure so had a second surgeon on had with him. I can't believe how good I feel compared to how much work needed to happen.

chicagochic got a reaction from BeanieandRosie'smom in Hello
Hey Erika and Fran! I'm also in Chicago. I live in the downtown area. I am two months post opp and down 30 lbs. I consider myself a slow loser but I'm not going to complain. I had a 5 week stall. I'm so glad it just broke!
Anyway ladies, let's stay in contact!

chicagochic got a reaction from SophieJaneB in Early Stall!
I was two weeks out and hit a stall for exactly 31 days. Very frustrating! It broke 6 days ago and I have been losing a pound a day. I'm so enjoying this and hope it lasts as long as the stall did. I went from a size 20-22 on surgery date to a size 16 in two months. I love it!

chicagochic got a reaction from Birdy18 in Single Incision Vsg
I had no sharp pain at all. I did have some localized pain in my abdomen for about 24 hours after surgery. I did have some nausea and had the dry heaves for about half an hour. That caused me to have a pulling sensation inside for a bit but it went away the next day. I am just under two weeks out and my belly button looks just as if I never had surgery.
Kinda looks like a boob but it's my fat belly! All healed up.

chicagochic got a reaction from Giselle3264 in Last Weigh In Tomorrow And Layed Off Today:(
I'm so sorry for your job loss. I hope that you are able to get something soon! I would contact my doc and insurance company to find out about the out of pocket expenses. I had a lot but did not have to pay any up front. I also set up payment arrangements so that they are managable. I know it's tough but stay on track and hope for the best!
Saying a prayer for you!

I had chili on the puréed diet with no problem! Just put a few teaspoons in my bullet and it was so yummy!

chicagochic got a reaction from dar1983 in Its Offical Im In A Stall
I'm in a stall as well. No scale movement for the last 3.5 weeks. It is very frustrating but at least it's he scale is not going up!

chicagochic got a reaction from simplyQuel in Help I've Been So Lazy
Sounds like you already know what you should and should not be doing. It may be worth seeing a nutritionist to get an idea of a good meal plan for you. Also, use my fitness pal to track your eating. Nothing like seeing how many calories you are consuming.
As far as the gym; I'm with you! I hate to go. I do like classes though. But I can not get into just jumping on the machines and working out. So I am taking 3 classes at the gym. One aerobic, one aqua fit (my fav) and one belly dancing which is pretty tough. That's at least three days that I work out. Plus if it's outside I just I for a walk. You can do it!
The best thing about the sleeve is that it does take some time to completely screw things up so you can get back in track! I'm not sure what city you are in but if you want to keep I contact we can.
Best wishes!

I was sleeved 5/29. Have been in a stall for a few weeks now and starting to go CRAZY!!!! my fiancé tells me I'm getting more jiggly :-/ lol. He says it's the fat breaking down. I sure hope he is right. I have lost 40lbs so far, but man I wanna break this stall. I would love to be a part of the "secret" Facebook page. Can someone add me. The name is Christa Ristow! chicagochic reacted to Finding MeMe in Of All The Crap You Took To The Hospital What Did You Actually Use?
My robe that tie in the front, flip flops to walk around the hallway and leav the hosp in because I didn't want to bend down to tie my shoes, toothbrush/paste, cellphone and charger and big baggy clothes that I wore to and from the hospital. Oh and I forgot tic tacs to keep my breath fresh and moist.
