  1. I was an over eater. I ate because I was bored or just because I seen someone else eating. Sitting at a desk all day didn't help either. Just remember the band is a tool to help you lose weight. It's not a solution in itself. I was banded February 1, 2012 and have lost 80 lbs without a fill. I had to change my mind set. I made myself aware of what I was eating by using the myfitnesspal app. This app is awesome!!! I also exercise on a regular basis. It's important to know the difference from "head hunger" and thirst. Now when I'm bored at my desk and I want to snack I usually take a couple sips of water and I'm fine. The days when water doesn't help I usually have a few peanuts or a small serving of fruit. Best of luck to you. This forum has helped me a lot.
  2. I'm hoping someone can relate and give me some hope. I've always had irregular periods. Some lasting 3 months and recently not having one for 2 years!!! I've been on BC since I was 13 to regulate periods and stopped 3 years ago. Jan 2011 I had pre-cancerous cells removed from my cervix. I decided to get banded as I've always been told my weight was preventing me from getting preggo. I've lost 80lbs since being banded feb 1. And still no period. I really hope this changes I would love to have at least one baby Anyone else have my bad luck???

    New To This :)

I on this forum almost everyday and I never post. It's good to know I'm not alone with certain situations especially the "embarrassing" ones I was banded Feb 1 and have since lost 80 lbs and have never had a fill. Threads about the fills kinda freaks me out. I'm a myfitnesspal addict (ballajones - feel free to add me) it helped me lost 20lbs pre-op. (100 lbs total YAY) I've have many ups and downs and even considered getting my band removed. Thanks to this forum it helps me realize I will have good and bad days. I will say everyday is a learning process. So I just wanted to say thank you all your threads keep me going. Hopefully I get to my goal weight by feb
