If we were in person I'd do the sound effects too! You'll know who to tell. I know I would tell a co-worker, be healthy eat healthy because when you get to my age... (different co worker but still a candy eater) but I think I OVERdid it , because one day I caught a face, so I have never said it to her again. I tell my daughter , and my daughter is now a gym rat working on herself. All we can do is pass along our experiences.

I share it because if I had questions there are plenty of people out there wanting the information but afraid to ask. In some places there is still a stigma about these surgeries.

I'm comfortable sharing my story. Most of the time. If I don't sense sincereness I will just give quick basics. I had not shared it with anyone except family members. One day on Facebook people were commenting on how good I looked and some bizzy whom I' was no longer friends, outed me and said oh she got the lapband! After that I decided to use it "for good" I said yes I did and it has been a learning experience. After that I had all kinds of private messages wanting more information. so I decided to try to form a support group. Location and place found and only 3 people showed up. I asked later why, and embarrassment was the main reason. I still get asked, and I try to be as honest as possible. "Did I realize it was going to be hard? NO I DID NOT. "Did dr. give you lots of information?" NOT ENOUGH. "Would I do it again?". YES BY BE WAY BETTER PREPARED FOR IT. I was too cocky about it, When I got home I was in so much pain, I told my husband "just take it out, take it out!" Like an Alien movie. Hubby who had not wanted me to get it in the first place said give it a year if you still feel the same then we will remove it. Probably by the 3 month I wasn't so anxious and I was able to cope a little better. I had an umbilical cord to this website. I was on it all the time!!! I still check in but more for support and confirmation that I have been doing right on my journey. "Thanks for asking!"

so true, this morning she was asking me about my lap band. I told her all the things you can no longer eat, including baked goods and candy........

CurvyCakes, when they say its all in your head, I said exactly !!!! Even when I look in the mirror all I have to compare myself to IS the Big me... my hubby hid the scales years ago, everytime I would eat and poop I'd check the scales. And freak when I gained acouple ounces. It kind of became a joke, "ahh just go poop you'll be fine." its something we have to work on,

sorry guys, just venting, can't vent on Facebook, too many people have eyes/ears. And if I did say something they would know exactly who I was talking about. Lives two blocks away, still gets here 10 @ 8 with oh you know it happens. ..

she's been here a year yet I still have to answer all the calls all the radios. while she catches on. If she hasn't caught on in a year, she needs to go. They actually tell her, "when you are done with what you are doing". NOBODY says anything to her !!! I do and I get called in twice for being rude. I actually told them you guys are teaching her wrong work ethics. have her start answering phones !!!!!

But hey I've lost 18 lbs. since 10/3/16!

working out 5-6 times a day, not really worrying about the weight but feeling good and bam, I came down with pneumonia . Now 5 weeks later I am weak as kitten. I can barely do 2,000 steps. I had so many antibiotics, cortisone. that it has wiped my body out. I'm taking vitamins, iron, B12, probiotics and actually feel better. When I don't take something I feel off, but half that stuff gives me constipation. As for exercise that's been put on hold. My body is just not bouncing back ,,, what happened??? I'm only venting because I'm sure my husband is tired of my whining, and sometimes reading about what someone else is going through changes my outlook on what's going on in my life. naptime

my chin. this very handsome man was smiling at me, I smile back then stoped, thinking, he's probably smiling at somebody behind me, I look around and it was just me... Its the little things... NSV.

The nurse from Dr's office called to reschedule my Tuesday appointment . She kept asking me if I was ok, having any problems, really sorry. I said no problem. She gave me the date. When I told her I was ok with that, because I had planned to come back from the beach a day early just for that appointment, so it worked out for me. The nurse laughed and said no wonder you are the only nice one I've talked too about rescheduling...

thanks, ladies, I guess I've never been healthy enough for this to have happened before.

I work out at 6am to 7am, this happened after I had been asleep and woke up shivering. I threw on socks and a sweater. took me a while to warm up.

this am, as I "hook my thumbs" into my sweaty pants ready for the battle of peeling them off, they slid right off, NSV!!!! . yes I want my body back in onderland, but I also want a healthy body. ###onmywaytohealth##.

Daisee68, I agree and understand that, but all I saw was that the dr. tends to choose whatever door is closest to her at the time she comes out of her office. And there is no apology. Apparently everyone is used to the dr. doing this. I don't have the time. I consider myself very lucky I have a regular doctor that has an open door policy for regular patients.

1st time, my apt was at 8, was finally seen at 9ish, I had one foot out the door. Same thing this time apt at 1, it was 1:45, my hubby said go check at counter, I asked if dr. was already seeing patients and they said yes. I'm like I'm the first one that signs in, I said this is the second time this has happened, I'm not waiting ,my insurance better not be charged. I drove 5 minutes to my regular dr. who took me in, waiting 10 minutes , in a room, got my results that I was supposed to get from other dr, plus meds for a sinus infection. I will reschedule but when it's convenient for me!

It doesn't take much does it jane13? I'm the same but I try to think good thoughts and good with it.
