Would love to help....just wondering how many pounds that you want or need to lose before I weigh in.

I would go in and tell my boss as soon as possible. This would be more of a courteous than looking for approval. You do not need anyone's approval for this surgery. You are an adult and can make your own decisions and I think that you are making an excellent choice. I too did not tell that many people except very close friends and family. I figure that is nobodys business anyway. It was the best decision in my life and i will never regret the surgery of going to Tijuana Mexico to have my surgery with Dr F Garcia. He has given me back my life and it will never be the same for which I will be forever grateful.
As for the larger co-worker that went off on you about doing it the old fashioned way I will dismiss her and let her see the results that you are going to achieve. If losing weight for some of us was that easy then why is she still so overweight. And do not let her tell you that she wants to stay that way and that she happy.
Please keep me posted as to your surgery and how you do after. I know you will do great and have my support.

You first problem is that you are weighing everyday. STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any doctor that has been in weight loss tells his patients never to weight daily as your body can do things that you have no control over especially if you are a woman. Even men have problems with this weight loss and do not lose everyday and may gain. I know that I was very happy the first 2 weeks and then I hit the stall and even gained. I was so down that I just wanted to eat everything in site but thank goodness for the sleeve and it would not allow me to eat.
I now weight once a week and feel more excited as I look forward to Monday mornings. I can also tell in other ways between weigh ins as I can tell that my clothes are loser and I can tell the difference in the mirror. I wish that everyone on her would stop weighing daily but I know that I will never convince them.
It you weight once a week it will be the best thing that every happened to your week.

Welcome Tiffany.......I had the lapband 2 years ago and I had about 170 pouds to lose. i lost around 90 with the band and then I hit a wall that would not move and my band was at full fill. I wanted to have the sleeve but my insurance said no so I went to Mexico and on Dec 11 I have the band removed and a sleeve done. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I have lost 29 pounds in 4 weeks and I am on cloud 9. My first question for you is how much weight do you need to lose? The band is fine and reversable but you still have problems as you do with the sleeve. I wish that I had done the sleeve in the first place 2 years ago and I would have been where I want to be a long time ago. I would be glad to chat anytime and answer any more questions that you have.

You can make it just keep yourself busy. If you feel like you are about to slip get up and go into the bathroom and take a nice bath or shower. You will feel better when you are finished. just remember the reward is worth the sacrifice.

I agree with the scale and I keep it in the bathroom that I do not use so I do not see it every day. Since I had my surgery on a Monday I only go in and weigh on Monday's. I for one get down when I get on the scale and I have not lost or even gained a pound or 2. Think you are a smart woman.

Did the same before surgery and I put all the excess in a box and gave it to the local food pantry for those in need. I also stocked up on things that I would need immediately after surgery so that I did not have to go out shopping if I did not feel good as I live alone. Advanced planning is always good

This is called the 3 week stall. It happend to me also and I gained a couple of pounds and I thought it was because I ate a little more on New Years Eve. I have put the scale away and got back to eating all of my protein, water, taking all of my vitaimins and have continued to go to the gym. Next week when I get the scale out I know that the number will be a good one.
Keep up the fight.

My doctor was Dr F Garcia. I had my sleeve done in Tijuana and I was very impressed with the doctor and all of the medical professionals that took care of me, I had my lapband removed and the sleeve performed. I had spoken to several patients that had gone to Mexico before I made my decision. I do not regret it for one moment.

I agree.....get back on liquids for a day or 2 and see some of the weight drop. Then get rid of everything in the house that you have been enjoying a little too much. It makes it much easier if the food is not just laying around especially after the holidays.

Congratulations on your weight loss. You have much to be proud of and I have heard especially women talking about clothing and trying to keep up with the change in sizes. You may see if there is a second hand store close that you might shop at to find some nice used clothing as it seem silly to have to buy all new to only not be able to wear them in a month as they are now too big. Keep up the excellent work.
