    Any Other Feb 9Th Sleevers?

Slow motion on my end. I had mine 2/13 was in a stall for 2 weeks scale finally moved yesterday. I haven't been beating myself up about it tho, figured it was normal compared to other posts. I am down 24lbs and one size now so I'm excited about that. Still feel great about it and staying positive
  2. I was Sleeved 2/13 two weeks tomorrow down 17lbs since surgery. So far so good no issues excited about starting soft foods tomorrow. Had my follow up Friday Dr says all is well. I'm bored with walking tho, it has never been my thing. Dr says week 3 I can start doing my aerobics n dancing again, so I'm looking forward to that. Wishing everyone the best with their journey

    Sleeved, Home...day 6

And I forgot to give a S/O to my surgeon Dr. Fedorka at Kaiser Fontana in So Cal....he was awesome. I'm very pleased with him all around....he made it a point to find my son after.the surgery and speak with him personally to let him know everything went great. The whole Kaiser staff has been great but my surgery was performed at St Bernardines Hospital A+ to them as well.
  7. Hey all, I was sleeved last Monday 2/13 and i must say all in all things are going pretty smoothly. I had only 1 day of a liquid diet the day before the surgery. Monday I weighed in 304.6 and down 12lbs as of today. I was in pain after the surgery they gave me a morphine drip, was walking around the next day, no catheter during my stay. I did have problems getting all the liquids in, hospital stay was wonderful they had a sister n father come around each day to pray with you. I was sent home Wed at noon. Slept sitting up in a chair the first night, then in my bed there after. No gas issues, still working on getting all the liquids in doing pretty good with my Protein shakes. Each day is better, had BM day 4 & 6, I'm able to sleep on my side now and walked for 45 mins today 2x. Still some soreness of course, but minimal. Anyway, just an update on me n my experience I know everyone is different. I'm excited about the journey and my new life. Best wishes to everyone pre & post I can't wait to post before and after pics....stay tuned!!
  8. Well after almost a year since my primary Dr referred me to the Options program thru Kaiser, my surgery date is finally here. I have to be at the hospital by 9am I haven't slept much by any means. I'm nervous n scared about surgery all together but feel that in the long run and grand scheme of things life will be better when its all said n done. I'm grateful to have the support of my wonderful son, my two bestfriends and family thru this. I know there r a few of us having this life changing procedure today, I do want to say to my fellow sleevers good luck, best wishes and we got this!! Positive thoughts...and thanks to those post op for all the info leading up to this day. I'll be checking in tomorrow n will let u know how it all goes

  13. We'll be sleeve buddies, I'm having mine done the same day. Having the same feelings as you, heck I almost talked myself out of it for while but then came to my senses ha ha. Wishing you a safe n speedy recovery.....good luck! :-)
  14. So I had my pre op today with Dr Fedorka @ Kaiser So Cal. He scheduled me for suregery on Monday Feb 13th 3pm!! In 6 days!!! I guess there was a cancellation otherwise it would've been 2/23/12. Funny thing is my surgery will be at the hospital I was born at . It was a new begininng then and it'll be a new one now, 37yrs later. I'm extremely excited, but very nervous about the surgery it's self. I've never had surgery before and the last time I was in a hospital was when I had my son 19yrs ago. ha ha So we'll see how it goes I'm staying prayed up about it. It is very encouraging to read all the stories and expierences on this website. There is so much information and encouragement for everyone. Although I do not post often I'll be sure to do more going forward. My stats...5'6 1/2 305lbs tdy but not for long =)
