  1. My band is super funny. I had my protein shake for breakfast which is really yummy if you mix it with Silk Protein juice. I love Mango. Then for lunch broiled fish and mashed potatoes. Well I didn't get much of the fish or mash potatoes down and I thought I was a little hungry tried yogurt and nope I'm full. Thanks Bandy!

  2. Lots of water when drinking all this protein people even more than usual. I had the worst stomach cramps last night and couldn't sleep. Not enough water with the protein and it caused major stomach issues. 64 oz of water daily normally with the additional of the protein shakes I'm adding 32 additional ounces of water!

  3. Day 6 Post Op - Up and at em this morning. I had some pains during the night but I think it was mostly soreness and gas moving around. I'll take a long walk after lunch today to see if I can dispatch the last of it. I'm not back to normal but normal is getting here quickly. Feeling really good today!!

  4. Day 4 after Thursday's surgery my daughter starts school tomorrow so I felt compelled to do a little more. Got some washing done and mopped my kitchen floor and cooked a quick dinner for my daughter. Protein shake and broth for me, just a little and I'm full. I thought I was hungry but I could only get a little down. Taking some pain meds then a nap, I'm pooped.

  5. Day 4 Post Op, still not hungry I tried to take in a little protein shake. I don't want hunger to set in. The gas is now in my back and shoulders I really gotta get moving today to get this out of my system. Still sore around the old abdomen but the pain meds work. My incisions are itchy and I think that's good sign. It does get better! :)

  6. Day 2 after surgery really sore abdomen and throat. I had hernia repair along with band. I know I'll get better but now I don't feel so hot. Sipping water and going back to bed.

  7. Just spoke with the surgery center to confirm the time I'm to show up for surgery on Thursday! OMG, in 48 hours I'll be banded. STUPID NERVOUS!!

  9. Big dissappointment today but more determined than ever that my lapband surgery is the right choice for me. I didn't make the same pace group for half marathon training that I made last year. I'm 1 minute slower than the minimum. So dissappointed I've gained 20 pounds since last season and hadn't been working out as hard as I should. I'm more determined to get the lapband surgery and continue to do what I love and that's run. Although slow now, I know in time I...
