    Sleepless Nights

It should get better in a few weeks. I would still call your doc and ask for something stronger for the pain. Also, most docs allow sleep aids, that may help you push through the pain.

    Is It Just Me?

I told and still tell everyone! I was excited about it and really didn't feel that any negative remarks would affect (effect? I never know which one to use....) me. If someone hadn't been honest with me about it I never would have gotten my sleeve.

    Sleepless Nights

The incision where my tummy came out was by far the worst. It took about four weeks to be comfy with it. But mine was right above my bellybutton and I am a stomach sleeper. How far out are you? I can't sleep either but that is because there is a hugeeee brown recluse hanging out above my bed.

    Measuring Portions

I started doing that in the beginning but I work at a dining common here at UCSB and I eat about 15 of meals there a week, they are free or greatly discounted, so now I don't. I never finish a full serving though and eat until I am satisfied -- not full. I still measure things like milk and yogurt and whatnot when making shakes.

    Labor Day Challenge 2012

So I somehow gained 2 pounds!! Super bummed. SW: 208 CW: 199 GW: 180
  7. I am around 4 months post op and I think I am starting to have attacks. I get a sudden sharp pain that starts in my middle right back and radiates to under my ribs on the right side. Occasionally it will spread towards my shoulder. At first, a few weeks ago, it was a dull ache. Now it is becoming more like a severe cramp that has had me double over once. From what I have seen though is that people don't start having these problems until much farther out than I am. So when did you first start feeling pain from your gallbladder? How long did you stick it out for before going in?
  8. This is not hunger. This is head hunger. Your body is not hungry, you only think it is and want it. It is all a mental thing that takes some time to get over. But you need to acknowledge it now as you not really being hungry or else you will start to confuse the two and eat when you don't need to. It is tough but it can be overcome.
  9. So I am 4 months out, down 63 pounds with 57 more to go! I am currently bouncing around 197. Here is a picture at my highest (well not quite there) I think I was 245 or 250 The second is two days after my surgery in Ensenada And here is a picture of me this last Friday getting ready to go out. I know it is crappy quality. I don't have anyone to take pictures for me, nor do I have a camera! I went from a 20/22 to a 16 currently.
  10. When I spoke to a surgeon here in the LA area I told him I still wanted to have kids and all that and he said they can do a tummy tuck without tightening the muscles and sometimes they do that anyway. For me, it was so I could still have that flexibility when it came to getting pregnant. I was told that usually people get some little lip around the hip area to smooth it all out as well. My mum got a tuck and didn't and she has a little bit of fat still there that bulges out a bit. Not sure about the thigh area but I know it pulled my mum's pubic region higher and more taught which helped her upper legs a bit too so possibly.

    Birth Control

If Implanon seems too much of a commitment there is Depo Provera that uses the same hormones and delivery method for 3 months. I have been on it for 4 years, no period and no problems. Same potential problems that Implanon has too. I personally am switching to Implanon just because I don't plan on having kids anytime soon.

    "adult" Topic :)

It seems the general consensus is "When you fell ready" and "Take it slow"

    Heart Stopped On The Table

Mine was directly related to my heart rate. Is hers just random or triggered by something? I have found that mine started going away after I lost weight, my heart didn't have to work so hard. They can put in a pace-maker type instrument, at least for most they can. Only "real" cure from what i have heard.

    Heart Stopped On The Table

I pass out from a vagal response whenever my heart rate gets too high! It sucked. I was once taking an ochem final and passed out :/

    Unjury- Soup?!?!

I thought it tasted amazing! I didn't really smell it though. I agree that it was a nice change from sweet drinks.

    Isopure On Sale C:

    WHERE??? GNC?
  19. Thanks everyone! I feel so great about myself now. It is amazing how dropping a few pounds can completely change how you feel! And thanks for the hair compliments. I cried when I got it lol but now I like it! I originally cut it because it was thinning! It is a great shirt, right?? I also got the black and white striped one! I am working out a bit, not as much as I should be. But I bike to and from work and class each day, so about 45 minutes a day.

    Hot Flashes

For me, yogurt that isn't greek or sugar free does me in. But it could also be you body just adjusting. I had a lot of funky stuff go on with mine for a month or so after.

    Hot Flashes

What are you eating? I get nonstop hot flashes from some food -- even some healthy foods.

    Scared To Exercise

I completely get where you are coming from. I have Wolf Parkinson White Syndrome, so I faint if my heart gets too revved up. It is really scary and in the past I wasn't even able to bike to/from classes. I waited until I lost maybe 20 pounds and started out really slowly. Now I work out three - four times a week doing pretty intense stuff. I think it is good to start out really slowly. Walking is an excellent exercise. What about arm exercises too? I am sure once you get some more weight off it will be easier, but why wait? My condition got so much better with regular walking just because my heart got used to it. And also less weight = less fainting goat syndrome

I Wonder What Celebrities Are Sleeved?!?

All I can say is that of someone was like, "You can have 50 million dollars if you get skinny and stay that way" I could have done it. I would have been miserable and starving and maybe even slowly dying. But I would have figured out how to do it. Money is a great motivator.

    "all Things In Moderation"?

I have things that I want or crave but I never ever eat over 700 calories a day. So if I have a cookie I know I have to go burn it off. And I only have treats like that after I am positive I can/have gotten in all my protein for the day.
  25. I tend to dump when I eat refined sugar, so I don't. But the few times I have I get really hot and cold and sweaty and feel dizzy. It sometimes is accompanied by diarrhea for me. I just dumped the other day without it after having some apple juice (I was parched and it was free at work lol).
