  1. As my screen name states, I love shoes. I have more than I want to count, and I have a few that are very beautiful and expensive. At my current size, all I can do right now is gaze at them with longing, because if I wear them I would be in pain. But I want to know if anyone has had to buy new shoes in smaller sizes because of their weight loss. I wouldn't mind wearing a smaller size, because I am currently a size 11, and its hard to find cute shoes in that size. But I have a few pairs that I would hate to have to give up.
  2. I really would like to be able to give you a nice, peaceful resolution, but I'm just not that person. I probably would have slapped the absolute mess outta him and then I would have given him the worst cussing of his life. But what will probably be the sweetest revenge is when you get slim, and have other men salivating over you.
  3. I told my pcp today that I was planning to get the sleeve....I was so apprehensive about doing it at first because I have talked with her before about WLS in the past and she was against it....but when I told her today her face lit up and she said she thought the sleeve would be perfect for me. She's been my doctor for over 15 years so she knows how much I have been struggling with weight loss. I didn't tell her that I was having it in Mexico, I will probably tell her that part afterwards. I'm just so happy that she was supportive and agreed to do my pre-op labwork. Whew, I feel much better about my decision.
  4. I am planning to have surgery in February in Mexico. I've spoken to my mother about it, and she seems to think that I will not be able to go home alone after the surgery and look after myself. Has anyone had the surgery and were able to get around fine afterwards? I expect to have some pain, but I am thinking that after 2 days in the hospital, and 1 day at the hotel I should be at a point to where I can be at home alone after I fly back. I am also hoping to be able to go back to work after a week. Can anyone give me a heads up on this? Thanks in advance.
  5. Thanks to all of you for your responses. I feel much better about it now. I think I may try to work from home the second week instead of going into the office.
  6. Hopefully if all goes well I will be having my surgery in 2 months, and will be on my way to finally doing some things I've never done or haven't been able to do for a while. Here is a list of some of the things I want to be able to do after WLS that I cannot do now because of my weight: Go ziplining, jetskiing, and kayaking Wear a swimsuit with confidence Dance at a nightclub without sweating within the first 45 seconds Sing on stage without feeling self-conscious Not be the fattest person in the gym working out Paint my own toenails, and buckle my shoes Stop snoring Wear pumps/stilettos without foot fat bulging out or worrying about keeping my balance What things do/did you want to do but couldn't as a fat person? Maybe I can get some more ideas to put on my list of to-dos after WLS.
  7. I also forgot to add rock-climbing to my list.
  8. Oh wow, I forgot about rollercoasters....I haven't been on any since high school. And I definitely cannot wait until I can fit into an airplane seat comfortably.

    The stress of Dating

I cannot WAIT until I start losing weight, I'm going to sign up for a dating site as soon as I feel confident enough. I tried online dating as a big girl, but I HATED being asked my body type or weight. I used to wish that guys would just meet me first before judging me by numbers. Even with all my chunkiness, I'm still a very pretty girl. I am just ready for my weight to no longer be an issue for me in the dating world.

Dr. Kelly And Trish- New Info?

That's strange - I just got an email today from Trish with a Health Questionnaire attached that says Florence Hospital at the top. I did think it was strange that she said the deposit was $1500, when I know that a lot of people on here said their deposit was only $500. Please let me know what the deal is, I don't want to give my money to a scam.
