Edamame with soy noodles and chicken, cut up and stir fried in a wasabe-soy mixture was pretty good for me - I had a friend make some just for me during a wok-party.
Also try the Snacks - wasabe flavored seaweed slips - wasabi covered peas and dried edamame are sooo good!

I see my doctor again today and will address everything then. It seems to still be there occasionally. I seem to get alot of discomfort to the point of pain right in the general stomach/lower liver area now - i burp soooo much. Heartburn too. Still very sore but also been crying alot. I try to avoid it but its impossible.

I will not make a call for you if you are asking is it OK to compromise your wedding vows. If you need companionship there are other ways to achieve that.
Perhaps you should seek to find a remedy within your relationship rather than outside it, if you want the relationship you have.

    Okay - you asked...
First, seriously, the forum is thick with people listing the early stages as difficult, the Water issue is common and fades, and there is a protien drink out there that you will like - or make your own. You can even get protien Water, and milk fortified with protien, 12 g for 8 0z.
Every issue, every one that you ever had with any other weight loss tool has an opportunity to arise after the sleeve - especially if you do not prepare in advance.
Now, lets fix this in small increments...
You MUST stop stressing and anticipating your body's response to your foods and water. Try some breathing yoga before you drink, losen up your chest, calm down...
Do not sit down with your family at the beginning of the meal, find something to do before you set down.
Take only small bites of food, smallest, chew thoroughly and ask someone a question - so you can talk, and then another bite - if you are still eating as the plates are cleared, so be it...and that is someone elses job now, too. You are going to take warm bath and let yourself relax and digest.
Read, not just here - there are book out there full of insightful, helpful information. If you are interested I will recommend a few.
There will be other posts with excellent suggestions. Good luck - it gets better (look at my profile).

It is one of those things that is up to the individual. Leave space for those who feel more vulnerable in this process. This part of the process is a "walk a mile in someone elses shoes" thing. There will come a time that you want your conversations to vary from the surgery onto the habits you developed, and the healthy things you are doing. It is a phase of the process. Time tells so, so much.

My Hubby already says I am too skinny, but I am not worried about it yet. Thing is there are individual things that will help determine that for all of us. Some (mmmmmaybe a bit rarer than you think) just keep on losing, even after going over 1000+ calories - they may have some problems, but a bit of healthy fats go a long way twords maintenance calories. You level of exercize will determine a bit also, as it will define how you look at ANY given size - a muscular size 4 is probably going to still fall into a trim and fit, if no effort was given to tone or muscle, that could look emaciated and sickly.
Some easlily will slip into the goal area they have chosen, and others will never reach it - and both are successful, I posted a topic Friday about coming to grips with my body image before I even worried about a final weight.
I dont know if that helped really - it might have been a bit of a ramble, lol.

Pookeyism got a reaction from ProudGrammy in Folks Who Have Had Complications
My Mom passed away a week after I was sleeved, and I had to handle the arrangements, and fly into VA from Houston, TX. I had a horrible time of it and had some sort of heaving/dryheaving episode mid-flight on the way back. I cannot say I had one major complication, but the stress seems to have slowed my progress alot - or what I think it would have been. I am definately dealing with an overload of the emotions we find hardest to deal with, anyway.
But yes, I would do it again.

I did but now I do not. I dunno. High school was really odd for me.
I am one of those ducks that really were outside the social circuit, and had alot of odd little interests, and while I was heavy it was extremely hard to pick on me. You couldn't scare me with kicking me out of school because by the 9th grade I had my basics in and could have graduated at any time, and I was in a unique position in that I owned my own business (poop scooping & dog walking - laugh all you want I made ALOT of cash) and my artwork was valuable then. So I had money, I had friends (when I wanted them) and I took care of myself - if you picked I hit (not proud it is just how it was). Bully's wouldn't pick on someone who can make it real work. I also took up alot for other heavy people who were bullied, so before this whole PC crap that is in schools now, the teachers turned their heads and I got away with a bit, cause I could literally keep the A-hole bully from starting stuff in the luch room, because of what I would do to him when I caught him later (well, I am a little proud of that).
But I know what you mean, my mind wondered off there a bit, ha ha. A good friend back then was a 'secret hippy', lol - a really nice cheerleader, we did yoga and would go camping and swimming and she loved to hide that blond hair under a cap and get her nails dirty. We lost contact a long time ago. I found out last year when I was going to offer for her to come in and visit and go to the Renaissance Fair that she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and passed away. I can't think of any one I want to gloat to, but I would have loved for her to see me. I know she worried about my weight.

Pookeyism got a reaction from cutiedeer in Who is a "good" candidate vs. a "bad" candidate for surgery?
Did you mean to ord this sentence this way? This might be what the doctor is talking about - the weight loss surgery will change EVERYTHING, more or less.
The surgery is often found to be a culprit of affecting your metabolism, although there is increasing evidence this doe not have to be the case. It WILL affect your mind, in so many ways it is difficult to even give a good list, things I can think of off the top:
You will no longer be able to have food be your support system.
food can no longer dictate a social life.
You will have to resolve or at least come to peace with your old body image.
You will have to be mindful of possible transfer addictions, now that you cannot eat all you used to, or what you used to.
You have to be prepared for when the "honeymoon" period is over, and the smaller you is not so novel.
You will create reactions that are not always positive, or perhaps are very positive but far from how you used to be treated.
You have to forgive yourself for where you were before you lost the weight.
Talk to your doc, ask for insight to what was said, and ask for assistance in resolving the situation. Good luck.
PS - I can provide suggestions for reading that go in depth to about the WLS journey.

I want to reassure you with out deceiving you in any way. Yes, there are complications, and YES they can be serious but get online and read reviews of your doctor provided by previous patients. The more recent the better, variable change and it is possible for a lackluster doctor to improve practice and it is possible for a good doctor to slack off.
Choosing a good doctor and hospital removes many risks. Still, be aware - it's surgery. It's hard. It has never, ever been easy. Harder than seeing my life fly by as I struggled under an extra 100 lbs? NO. I have to work at it. I have to keep my emotions out of my kitchen and me out of my kitchen when I am having issues.
However, I am in remission fro type 2 diabetes, and I am 100 lbs lighter +/-, it varies. I teach yoga. I swim, dance, climb and crawl (I have bunnies).
Don't let fear decide this, but allow caution help you proceed.
    Good luck.

Between the contacts I have and the years of experience that equals to I can find something for you. About a week ago I took a 500 lb lady through a full practice (after about 3 weeks of practicing) and she could not lay flat or bring heart equal to head at all...but she practiced, practiced and we worked on mods again and again. She did downward dog in a chair, and did a very full expression of warrior 1 & 2 for the first time ever...so excited (we cried)!

I have not had one, except at first I wanted to get into onderland. I did - exceptionally briefly, however. I am not sure my body likes that "place" unless maybe after some skin surgery. hmmmm.
I have regained a bit after dislocating my shoulder badly, and have not reset my intentions except with the goal of a daily minimum/maximum of calories, Water, rehab and waiting for my body to kick back in. It is taking it's own sweet time, however. It is a big reminder how much my activities and exercise played into my weight loss success. I never ate poorly, I was just so used to my awesome smoothies and bananas (as opposed to say, a salad or an apple) don't laugh! It's those small decisions that did me in more than any bad routine.
