Ooh la la - bought a body shaper

I just also bought assets by spanx (body fat sucker inner) at kohls. They had a lot of different kinds. So sorta like buying a bra. I think you need time to try on many some are over bust. Under bust. Legs too or just waist length. Reversible etc. I like how it smooths bra lines. Ok back fat

    CRUISE TO LOSE DATE CORRECTION

A west coast cruise would be fabulous. Lots of time and $ to travel to the east coast. But sounds like a fun time. With like minded people. Please keep info coming. Thank you

    Chicken

In the same case of no more chicken breasts for me. Except in soup. Thighs work for me. Who knew? Learn new ways. That is what my band teaches me.

    4 years post op questions

I also believe our bodies don't metabolize the same post surgery ..after the " honeymoon" years later. Many of us eat around 1000 calories a day , if the posts are correct, and that maintains where our weight stabilizes Some a bit higher than we would choose. Some at goal but certainly healthier I hope. With a good dose of exercise thrown in and decent eating habits and water. That may be where we find ourselves, as I do, many years down the bariatric road.

    Evening munchies

Someone tipped me off about the frozen case at Dairy Queen. (Not the counter)sugar and fat free orange sickles. 60 calories. I save them for a treat

    How much have you lost?

From my all time high 90 lbs. since banding 70. Cannot imagine going back to being so tired. Left items at bottom of stairs for hours to make fewest trips up. Clear now

    Long-term fills?

I so agree with the last post. I consider a fill and then my band gets irritated and I know I can't overfill or... Disaster for days. So I go along and I do not overdo it. It just acts up for sometimes no reason. And it's close to 8 years and I still look here for answers. Thanks

    Random restriction...temperamental band!

Flying seems to irritate me for a day. Anyone else have problems with pressure and altitude?

    A Long and Winding Road

Love to read stories on this site. Such a journey On and on. Almost 8 years and trying to maintain. Not fighting the band Loss of my husband just put me in a hard place. And no food coping. Lots of crying. Trying to just keep moving on

What a difference love to smile! You must feel so much better You look happy and healthy!!
  15. Eggs work a lot of ways. I happen to like tofu in soups. Lots of protein and little calories. Lately quinoa has been on my list. One of the few grains with protein. Good luck and keep us posted!

Keep the dress? Yay or nay?

Great price. Cute dress, but the neckline needs something. Fool around with a belt. Hair down. Jewelry. ...I think for $20 you can keep in your wardrobe Everyone needs a black dress. Church or wedding or funeral Gotta have one. A shawl might make it look younger ... Like you????

Success is what YOU make it!

I believe you look just how you should. Healthy. Happy. "Normal" size. Whatever that is to us! I don't believe I will hit a doctors ideal goal for me... But I am healthy and fit and very satisfied to stay the same size for years. To me, that is the crux of all the years of work and maintaining and exercising ..... And making good choices for food and lifestyle! It is rare almost 8 years later to look way back and think of myself as JUMBO. Not my image of myself anymore. Hope others see themselves differently... It truly helps my head and self image issues. Hope it does for them too. Rear view window for that old size and look. Pictures ( I always have an old one with me) tell me how far I am
  18. I also save a lot of $$ on groceries . But really what my WLS saved me was time. All the shopping, preparing, cooking, cleaning I think it cleared a shelf in my brain that all that food chatter and thoughts took up I now find much more free time that does not revolve around food I am thankful

    Anyone else need a TARDIS?

JWM I so agree about the support group. I find them so inspirational! No lap banders in my group yet tho 2 have signed up. I'm thinking I was all brave though nervous before surgery. And thrilled to be on the other side. Have not regretted it for a day. And it has been years and years. I would do it again in a heartbeat! Good luck

Happy Labor Day weekend! Happy bander with a few days off. Plan to ride my bike a bit perhaps a walk to see begonias. Just FUN STUFF Please keep this thread going. It is very inspirational.... Especially because the "magic" from 1-2 years out is wonderful But us long term banders need each other as we travel this journey for years and years. Thanks

  24. You realize the food industry is masterful at selling. As is the diet business. You can just ignore i all of it easily You're happy to see pictures of yourself instead of hiding From the camera for years
