I'm thinking a little fill would be a good idea. If I was you that's what I would do. Also go back to the basics of eating. You have reached your band level and need a fill. Once you stop loosing and start eating more it's a sign for a fill. Also the apt in it self is a good boost to get back on track.
You can do it. You already have you just need a little boost.
I found doing a menu really helped and sticking to the grocery list. Planning meals is a big part of it.
    Your stronger than you think.

Exactly. I have also witnessed it first hand. My cousin had the sleeve and other family would talk about her in a negative way about getting it done. I would try to explain it to them how it works but they never wanted to listen.
I feel bad for her knowing we did also and she doesn't know but we have enough stress in life and don't need to add more.
If you choose later on that's fine too. I did tell a close friend later on.
    Best of luck to you.

Personally if your not comfortable telling them then don't. My husband and I both got lap bands 5 years ago and the only ones who know are immediate family.
I felt that they would say it's the easy was out. With out them actually knowing it's just a tool and we are actually doing the work. I felt the same as you and we choose not to say anything.

    Opps hit send by accident.
I meant very effective if used correctly. I have a lap band as well as my husband. We have both been very successful.
    Do not be discouraged.
My two good friends and a cousin all had the sleeve two are failing the sleeve. Gaining back weight now.
I and my husband have had the band almost 5 years. Glad I choose this option for the reason of its adjustability.

There's also a great website called myfitnesspal.com. You can track all of your food, exercise, and weight all in one place and it's free. When setting it up, it will give you some default recommendations for nutrition. I customized them to agree with what my doctor recommended. It's a valuable tool for me.

I'm 100 % happy with the band and 100% successful.
Keep in mind that many thousands of banded people who are happy / successful do not post online about it. They are too busy living their new skinny lives. People tend to post more if they want input and advise from other bandsters and sometimes they may seem like they have a big problem but it passes or they get it figured out.

princess77 reacted to Alex Brecher in What Will It Cost Me To Get Weight Loss Surgery?
Weight loss surgery? Really? For me? Why?
    What’ll it cost me?
Perhaps a better question is “What’ll it cost you if you don’t?”
With today’s uncertain economy and rising healthcare costs, it’s normal to wonder if now is the time to consider the LAP-BAND® AP System.
Extra weight on a person often goes hand in hand with extra financial burden.
Obesity can have significant medical costs over time. Weight loss surgery can help reduce the cumulative cost of living with obesity: like weight loss programs, prescription medicine and hospital visits.
Knowing this, you may want to consider these questions:

What are your current out-of-pocket healthcare expenses? Are they due to go up?
What are your current prescription and over-the-counter medication costs? Are they due to go up?
How many times a year do you see a doctor or specialist? Has that gone up over time?
How many days have you missed work over the past few years? Has that gone up?
How much have you spent on non-surgical weight loss programs? (WeightWatchers®, Jenny Craig®, etc.) Did that work?
How much have your costs for groceries and dining out gone up?
How much have you spent on additional clothes due to your weight gain?

Acting now by using the LAP-BAND® System to help you significantly reduce your weight — may also reduce your weight-related costs!

I wouldn't worry about choosing the Band over other proceedures because the Band is so non-invasive that you can still go for something else down the road.
Congrats on taking the rights steps!

Good luck with your surgery. I am from Calgary and I was banded in Vancouver by Dr. Mitchell last October and it has been a very positive experience. The lapband is working for me, but your and Dr. Mitchell need to decide what procedure would work best in your situation. What you are experiencing is "head hunger" and not real hunger. Your relationship with food changes with the band, however, every now and then I still have "head hunger". This type of eating decreases with time and I am getting better at recognizing it when it happens. This recognition is what was missing from the many other diets that I had tried in the past. I am still able to eat whatever kind of food I want, just in much smaller quantities. My weight loss is slow, but steady (except when I am on vacation and the good news, I stay the same weight). Good luck on the pre-surgery liquid diet and message me if you have any questions.

I am having surgery with Dr Mitchell in April in Vancouver. He is very skilled, and I have no doubts in selecting him.
