Well, another option would be to do something to get you kicked off lol. That would solve it .
All kidding aside, I agree there should be an option to delete account.

Who says you can no longer enjoy Frappe's?
    Here is a yummy alternative.
I love Starbucks, especially their Frappacinno's. My husband bought me a Frappacinno maker and I love it. I have used it in the past, but never tried to make sugar free, low calorie, high Protein frappe's. So here is what I used. (May use regular blender)
    Recipe
    Java chip mint Frappacinno
Starbucks French Roast or Italian Bold Roast- 3 tablespoons
1/2 cup of Water. (Mix this and warm in coffee cup ahead of time if no frappe maker, will need to add this once mixed to blender)
    2-3 cups of ice
3 packets of Splenda (which converts from 2 Tbsp of sugar)
2 Tbsp of sugar free chocolate Syrup divided. (15 calories)
2 Tbsp of Sugar Free Chocolate chips
(Optional) Peppermint extract ( 1/8 or you can use more if you want stronger mint flavor)
1/4 or 1/2 vanilla Premier Protein RTD shake, may use chocolate
    Topping once blended:
2 tablespoons of light whipped cream or may use fat free, or sugar free whipped topping.
1 Tbsp of the divided SF chocolate syrup drizzled on top of whipped cream
Calories: roughly 200 calories, depending on the products you use. 15 grams Protein. I use Fitness Pal to calculate nutrients.

I was banded in 2011 and lost 80 pounds never quite got to my goal weight before I started having problems. Throwing up multiple times daily, bad acid reflux to the point I was needing 8 pillows to prop me up to sleep, frustrated. I was too tight at one point from the swelling from vomiting so much, that I had to get all Fluid removed emergently so I could swallow my own saliva.
I ended up getting all fluid removed and esophageal manometry done. I have a separate post about that experience. The manometry showed I had a slip. That was the documentation I needed in order to get a revision for mybinsurance to cover my revision. There needs to be documentation to support another surgery need. Unless you are cash pay.
I initially wanted sleeve because I thought it was the best option....however after speaking with my surgeon, he told me that I would more than likely have problems with severe reflux due to the pressure from the sleeve and since I was already miserable from the severe reflux I had, I wasn't about to have to deal with any more. I also have several friends who had sleeve done and have significant regain with reflux issues.
He said revising to RNY would resolve reflux and I wouldn't ever have to deal with that issue. I decided that was the best choice for me. I was revised to RNY back in 2015 and SO Happy! No reflux which is awesome! I can eat spicier foods again. I have lost a total of 125 pounds and at my goal weight of 175. I am also a Zumba Instructor and teach Zumba 4 days per week. I keep my Protein first, then veggies and fruit. I take my Vitamins daily and actually have not been sick as much either since revision. I have not had any issues. Love my RNY ❤ I only wished I had done RNY to start with. Do your homework, ask questions and decide what is right for you. Best of luck to you!

Dream4tc got a reaction from caddygirl in What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
Mine was when I went to Six Flags with my spouse, (now ex-spouse, and now I am remarried), and I was at my heaviest weight of 300 back in 1999. We got ready to get on the Batman rollercoaster, and as I was trying to fit into the seat, the bars wouldn't latch because of my big stomach. I had to get off the ride. I was soooooo embarrassed and I let him go on the ride without me. I cried and was miserable the rest of the day. I was afraid to try any other ride for fear of the same embarrassment. Even though I have lost 80 pounds since then, I am still afraid of going to any rides at any amusement parks. It really was devastating to me and I realized that my weight was way out of control. So, I have been struggling all of my life to lose weight so that someday when I reach my goal weight, and before I get too old, that I can get on that ride and conquer that feeling and put it to rest finally.

That's awesome! How did you develop an ulcer? What were your symptoms? Were you on any antacids prior to revision? My biggest weakness is sugar, especially ice cream. Which Calcium supplement do you take? I have been taking sublingual B12 and Vitamin D as a liquid drop. My current Multivitamin is a one a day Gummy but I know that I will most likely have to switch to a chewable with the RNY. Which ones do you take? Do you have problems with constipation with RNY? I definitely don't want that to occur. I have a history of diverticulosis, with my first attack about 1.5 years ago and that was horrible! I take a Fiber gummy daily for that too. What do you do to prevent that? That is great that you are feeling better! 20 pounds to goal is awesome!!! I bet you are so excited!

@@Trayjay33 I completely agree with you about the insurance thing. How have things been going with your RNY? It sounds like you were able to get your band removed and RNY in the same surgery which is great! My insurance company is making me do this in 2 surgeries. They still consider the revision as a whole new surgery and I have to go through the 5 month supervised physician diet, which I have been doing since April of this year. I knew their requirement, so now I really don't need to wait. I am just waiting to give my body time to heal from this removal. How has your recovery been and any problems along the way? How has your weight loss been?

Dream4tc got a reaction from Sammie1124 in Bontril vs Phentermine
No I am not using either of them. I had used the phentermine in the past back in 2000. I had later tried bontril back in 2006 before WLS.
I had the band in 2011, band removed just this month 8/10/15 and I will be having bypass in November. My post was just commenting on the medications that I tried. If you had read my original post more carefully you would have seen that I used past tense. I was just trying to offer more information to others geez no need to crucify me lol.

I am surprised this medication hasn't been mentioned yet on here. First I want to mention, I have tried phentermine in the past and couldn't handle the jittery feeling or heart palpitations. I only used this for a short time, and I had to cut the pill in half because it was too strong for me. It is not paid by insurance. It is around $30.00 for a months supply and you need to see your physician every month to have your blood pressure and heart rate monitored.
Now to get to the medication Bontril. I also used Bontril. It is usually prescribed 35mg tabs 3 times a day. I really liked this one because it did not give me the jittery feeling or the heart palpitations like the phentermine did. It helped with appetite suppression and I lost weight with it. I initially started out taking it 3 times a day as prescribed but found I only needed it twice a day. I have a history of insomnia so it would keep me wide awake. This medication is a controlled substance and insurance does not pay for it either. The cost is the same $30 a month and you also need to see your physician every month on this medication.

Dream4tc reacted to Alex Brecher in My surgeons office sent out email with all patients names CC'd. How upset would you be?
    Missy407,
I’d be furious, and I’m really sorry this happened to you. I agree – it sounds like a HIPAA violation:
““Individually identifiable health information” is information, including demographic data, that relates to:
the individual’s past, present or future physical or mental health or condition, the provision of health care to the individual, or the past, present, or future payment for the provision of health care to the individual, and that identifies the individual or for which there is a reasonable basis to believe it can be used to identify the individual.”
    http://www.hhs.gov/ocr/privacy/hipaa/understanding/summary/index.html
I would definitely contact the office and find out what happened – whether it was an innocent mistake, possibly by a new employee, or if that’s the office’s standard practice. You could also ask what they intend to do to fix the problem and possibly compensate you in some way.
If you want, you could pursue it. I think you can file a complaint through HHS. http://www.hhs.gov/ocr/privacy/hipaa/complaints/index.html
Again, I’m really sorry this happened to you. On the positive side, those 500 plus email recipients who now know your personal information are probably very sympathetic to your situation.
