    Cant Stop Crying Any Help?

Ok, girl here it is. Get your myfitnesspal app (it's free) and get your account going. Start logging everything and looking for a new doc and NUT. You don't even have to have a bariatric doc (although best), just one that can check some things out for you. Get some blood work done to see if your sugar, thyroid or anything else you can think of is out of wack. BTW getting super stressed out increases the hormone called cortisole. This causes you to gain weight or not be able to lose weight. So try to chill out and relax a bit, that could be fighting you also. After reading what you had to say, it appears that too much may not be your problen, but too little. Your body may be shutting down. Too little can have the same effect as too much. I know how you feel about the not wanting to eat, but you have to make yourself do it. Get on a schedule using the MFP and eat every 2-3 hours. 3 meals and 3 Snacks. This keeps your body working continously (your metabolism going). Take it one day and one log at a time. With the diary, you will be able to see exactly what you are eating and exactly how many calories you are burning. Take it with you when you do get a doc and they might be able to see what is going on with you. They migh even want to test your metabolic rate. Just hang on and don't give up. I know you are terribly discouraged, but we will try to help you the best we can. (((HUGS)))

    Cant Stop Crying Any Help?

They will only do this after two years of unsuccessful weight-loss and it is a last resort option. Everything else has to be ruled out before the insurance companies will pay.
  8. Who could say it better than that. To that, I would like to add: I wish there had of been more explained about the risks of the high protein/low carb diet along with rapid weight loss. If you dump weight off really fast (like me) your hair WILL fall out..tremendously. You will probably be bone tired for months. We are all at a great risk for "stones", gallbladder AND kidney. And we are at a much greater risk for getting gout, because of all the meat we eat. Even though we are eating less, it is mostly protein. This causes our uric acid levels to go up. The alternative to this is to use soy protein, but over use of soy increases breast cancer risks greatly. We have gotten rid of many health problems by having the VSG, but we have also gotten some new ones. I just tell my husband, "well, if I die, I will be one good looking corpse"...lol.

    Getting The Final Appointment

I had a 3 month waiting period and then it took 4 months to get all of my paperwork to the way they wanted it. So in all, I had to wait 7 months. So you have me beat. Best wishes!!

    Cant Stop Crying Any Help?

Bless your heart, I don't know what to say. Do you use myfitnesspal? It can really help you keep up with everything and see what is going on. I started out at 335, so I was much, much larger than you to begin with. Maybe it is because you are on the small end of the weight spectrum. Have you talked to your doc about it? If you are sticking to a diet (low-carb) and getting in some exercise, you may have something else going on here. I am so sorry. Please don't let yourself cry too much. Sinking into a great depression will only make it harder to lose. Please get with your NUT and have a serious sit down, preferably after logging every bite and step for a week (if you don't have MFP, GET IT!). He/she can help you figure out a plan to get you jump started or to see if you might be in need of some testing. Best wishes and my screen name on myfitnesspal is the same as here. You can send me a request if you want.

What The H Is A Filter?

I have had clots, so they gave me Lovenox injections as a preventative. I also had these wonderful things on my legs that were like ginormous blood pressure cuffs. They alternated blowing up back and forth, one leg at a time. It was a wondrous massage! I got so spoiled. It was such a disappointment when they took them off and put on the TED stockings..bah:(

  17. Today I made it to my 6 month goal (100# lost) 1 month and 2 days early. I am so excited! Here is a pic of me today in my size 18 clothes. The second shot is in my old size 28 skirt. I also have some fun NSVs. Tonight my husband took me to a fair and I could ride everything. What was even more fun was when he boosted me up by the waist to put me in a high seat. Another time one of the operators reached for me to get me down. It was great! Neither of them would have happened when I was big. Yay!! Sent from my iPhone using VST

    Hello Century Club (Pics)

I know you're gonna hate me, but I have nothing to share. I eat carbs, drink some sweet tea and the occasional Sprite/7up and I did not exercise until this week. My calorie goal is 900 but I have only had that much once. I average 600. I have a bad knee and have had surgery on it since my VSG. I am in the process of having the cock's comb injection treatments on it right now. This is why I didn't exercise. I am able to walk now though, so I have started walking and doing Wii workouts. My skin is a bit loose from the rapid loss, so I hope the workouts will start helping me to tone up. Sorry I can't give you that magical combination to make it all go just right. But best wishes anyway
  19. My husband has been wanting me to go to this festival for years, but I would not go. I was always too big. It is hot this time of year and I knew I would burn up; not to mention the pain I would be in from having to carry myself around. Well, this year we went. I walked around with no pain or exertion at all, did not even dew up, let alone sweat. And drum roll please..... I rode ALL of the rides. I haven't been on rides in years. I had no trouble what so ever fitting in the seats or fastening the guards. And to top it all off, my husband boosted me by the waist into a tall seat and another operator offered to get me down. YAY!! So this is a video link to me celebrating my SV in NSV-ville. By the way, this thing will scare your drawers off. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=3315080369876 (P.S. sorry I didn't put this in my earlier post, but I didn't know how )

    Question Everyone?

I still eat ribs, granted I can only hold one, but if I want it, I eat it. As for potato or egg salad, I have them too; but if you are worried about the fat and calories, make them with fat free Miracle Whip in place of regular Mayo. fat free MW has 15 cals. per Tbsp. versus the 90 cals. in one Tbsp. of regular mayo. Happy eating

    Labor Day Challenge 2012

HW 335 SW 239 (7/4/12) CW 238 (7/9/12) 1# GW 219 (9/3/12) Only 1# down this week. I am going to try to start drinking more water. I never get in my fluids. I am also going to add lemon; it is a diuretic and also makes you absorb 1/3+- less carbs (glycemic index). So here goes...let's see how the next 7 days go :0)
