Stay Hopeful!!!! Believe, Pray and keep believing and praying!!!!
I was in your shoes, I also recall feeling like no hope. No money, no way of coming up with it. I looked to others to help, they didn't . I eventually had to rely on myself, my way.
I had yard sales, I found stuff people were giving away and sold that to. I am a waitress. I saved every nichol I could and put it in a bank (without an ATM card) in a savings account. My credit was not great. I somehow saved up over $2500. in 4 months. YEAH, ME WHO WAS BROKE LIVING WITH PENNIES, WEEK TO WEEK. I just wanted to be sleeved more than anything.
I still did not have enough and could not get a loan from a bank. My credit was not great and my husband's small family business was not doing well.
I woke up one night and remembered a lady I knew years ago that worked at a bank, She was really nice to me like 20 years before. I recalled her name, looked her up that morning, called her.... she ended up being (after all those years later) the head of the loan department. She helped me to attain a loan becuase she believed in me and who I was years before.
My point.... you keep believing, see it , taste it, know it, live like you are getting sleeved. Prepare yourself, walk into it..
Don't wait for your parents(relying on them). The door will open up. Taste it, dream it, breath it. Want it more than anything, it will happen if you want it.
Guess what.... it is worth it. I never thought I would see a size 14 ever again. I am only 3 months out, down from a tight 20 , really 22.
    YOU CAN DO THIS.
I can not wait for the day you say, guess what... I am sleeved. Go to Mexico.
If you have no money, find a nichol put it in a piggy bank, they add up. Just do it!!!!!

You are not alone sweet girl. I go up and down also. I snuck a cookie and never wrote about it (if no one sees it but me, it did not happen lol, out of sight out of mind.
I read way more than I post. I read yours just do not post .... sorry.
You deserve a pity party after all you have been through. I have balloons you supply the pretend cake.
It is all going to work out, you are going to look back one day exactly why you had to go through all of this.
I will pray for you and will continue to also. I promise! I pray your appitite subsides. You have to get those bad carbs out of your system for a few days in order for the appeitite to not be so strong. You can do it. You must be stronger than you realize , think of all the things you been through and your still here concerned, not jumping over the cliff at Dairy Queen.
Take it easy on yourself, your doing good.
Remember this, it is not a race..... it is one day at a time, everyday. We all have bad days eating the wrong things.
It's funny, I had not posted a topic in a few weeks and just got done posting one, asking others how good they were about what they eat. See... we all struggle, that why we had to have surgery. You are right where you are suppose to be.
    ((((big hug lady)))

I would try tracking your food again through something like myfitnesspal.com just to see the exact amount of carbs, calories and protein you are consuming. Of course, not following their guidelines for calories & carbs because they are much higher than someone with a sleeve should be eating.
I would start with one 100% Whey Protein Shake at least a day, get rid of the chips and popcorn, croutons add more lean protein.
Work out routines must be varied. If you are used to walking 30 minutes a night at a certain pace, that because part of the norm. It's not "added exercise". The less you weight the more exertion you need.
Besides cardiovascular, try adding weight training, lifting small weights, doing lunges. Muscle weighs more than fat, so it may seem like you are losing slower, but muscle boosts metabolism. Most of all make sure you are consuming your 64 ounces of a water a day.
    Good luck!

I am so sorry you are hurting. Please know that you are never alone, for we are all one. This community is incredibly supportive and many walk a similar path, with similar hopes and dreams for the future. Hormones are clearly affected in this process, so forgive yourself for being emotional - you are in the process of changing your life and creating your future. Try to consume your required protein and water, for I've read that really helps, and if you can, get outside and take a walk. Start slow and short, and go further each day. That should help work out and release the pain that is trapped in your body, which has been through a bit of trauma recently. This will get better and you will be able to share your experience with those (like me) coming up this path behind you. Wishing you WELL!

You are going to be fine. I had all the same reservations and I went to MX and 4 weeks later I am running , playing tag football with my grandbabies. I am so happy. I also had to lose almost 100 lbs.
Expect the worst but pray for the best. Always, always only tell your self positive affirmations. You can and will do this.
I decided not to share with anyone either, with the exception of my husband, sister in NY and a boss at work. Best decision I made. I also would rather focus on what I need to get done than be preoccupied with others doubts.
I am so happy for you. I will be praying for a speedy, save and easy recovery(for you also lovelylirpa).
Keep us posted how you do.

You're doing great! You recognize the head hunger and you're dealing with it! The great thing is, you can have this stuff - you just have to make wise choices with it. A meaty pizza and toss the crust. mongolian style chinese food or make it yourself. Everything is accessable, you just have to make it work for you. Stir fry with chicken with the sauce on the side. Congrats on your progress so far!

We've all been there. If your really physically hungry increase your protein and drink more. I find if I'm sipping something I like to drink i'm not hungry. if your emotionally "head hungry" then get rid of the carb chips, and find snacks low or with zero carbs. might not be the best thing but I eat porkrinds. They are a great crunch and zero carbs. I sometimes dip them in cream cheese, or dip made from greek yogart, or laughing cow cheese. Head hungry is hard to manage if you don't recognize it and try to change the habits. Good luck!!

YES. I wear big Chaka Khan hair as my distraction. Great blog. It has taken quite a while for me to decide that I don't care what people think about me, as a matter of fact it's really none of my business what they think. What's important is what I think about myself. So I will probably continue to rock my Chaka hair, even after I'm fine and slender, because I LIKE IT.

Hi, I was sleeved on Feb4th, I start full liquids tomorrow. I can not wait to drink Muscle milk and soup. I am so excited.
Thanks for the heads up on the beans. I was thinking about putting some in the blender and adding water so it has the consistancy of a soup, probably bad idea.
I have a weird kind of "ache" right in the center of my stomach, about4 in above my belly button. It is not even on an incision, just strange and sometimes uncomfortable. I think it is all the changes we are going through. I had those with different surgeries.. I do not think I would worry only if your look red or irratated. I have been feeling blahh for the last two day, due to lack of nothing to eat.
Congrats on the weight loss. I am down 13 since surgery. 26 since I started pre op diet. I am tickled.

People can do things without meaning to, but when someone brings you cupcakes knowing what they do, then yes you have to ask some questions - it sounds very passive aggressive to me.
The main thing is to be assertive - I recently had an aquaintance throw away a dozen cupcakes her hubby brought in and he said "why did you do that?!" and she said "because I told you I would". he had bringing "treats" in for himself - not the two or three cupcakes he would have ate, and not putting them somewhere she would not need to come across - but a dozen or more, and on the counter near her foods. So she stepped up and threw them out - opened the box and dumped them into the trash.
We can't compromise on ourselves, and we cannot allow others to do so either. Nope. Nada. shhhh. don't argue.
    Good luck.

I tell anyone who asks about my weight loss how I did it. BUT, I have a different personality than many. I'm not intimidated by many people and I have no problem standing up for myself. At one time, my "level" was sleeve evangelist. I think that's a perfect title for me. I find myself wanting to tell obese strangers about my surgery and success so far!

I would go in and tell my boss as soon as possible. This would be more of a courteous than looking for approval. You do not need anyone's approval for this surgery. You are an adult and can make your own decisions and I think that you are making an excellent choice. I too did not tell that many people except very close friends and family. I figure that is nobodys business anyway. It was the best decision in my life and i will never regret the surgery of going to Tijuana Mexico to have my surgery with Dr F Garcia. He has given me back my life and it will never be the same for which I will be forever grateful.
As for the larger co-worker that went off on you about doing it the old fashioned way I will dismiss her and let her see the results that you are going to achieve. If losing weight for some of us was that easy then why is she still so overweight. And do not let her tell you that she wants to stay that way and that she happy.
Please keep me posted as to your surgery and how you do after. I know you will do great and have my support.
