Wow.....I should have thought of that. Best wishes!
I think Trish contracts with cosmetic doctors, she may have a recommendation.

I went back to work after one week full of energy. My only issue was remembering to drink/eat. I had to put myself on a timer.

Tell them that you are trying to get healthier so that they can have a good role model. I'm not sure what you teach, but you can also involve them in your new healthy eating habits. Include them in your new life change without giving them specifics.

Congratulations, I am so happy for you! Tell Trish that I said hi! And, welcome to the Loser's Bench!

I have a living disposal -- My Dog! Hee Hee! Seriously though, my signal is one small belch. I get shocked sometimes by the little it takes. So either I package it to sit in the fridge, throw it in the trash, or give it to my dog. I'm careful to monitor the amount I give him, so I don't make it a daily habit.

I do not like "natural" Peanut Butter. I absolutely love Peter Pan creamy whipped peanut butter. I haven't had any since the surgery, but it does stare at me when I open the pantry.

Scary isn't it? I haven't lost anything in two weeks.
And sorry, an ounce is an ounce. Fat and muscle weigh the same. We'll just have to fight through this.

I've been on my cycle for the last three weeks. :banghead: It started a week before surgery, stopped a full week after surgery, then gave me a break for a week and a half.

Hello! I'm smack between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. I was sleeved in Mexico. I am about a month and a half post-op. I love to play softball and am looking into joining the local gym.

I'm praying for you! I know that this has been a difficult journey for you.

I'm sorry that you are feeling ill. Based on your ticker, you are doing extremely well in the weightloss arena.
How much Water are you taking in? I'm guessing that you may be slightly dehydrated.....
Otherwise, place a call into the nurse line for your insurance company or call your doctor's office. At this point, we could only speculate.

To mimick what the others have said, in order for your aunt to be considered your guardian, she must receive a court order designating you as her dependent. Also, if you are older than 26, it is a useless battle.

I just want to say that I love Dr. Kelly and Trish + her team. They still contact me every other week. I had surgery at florence. I'm not going to advocate in this topic, so if you want to know about my experience with Dr. Kelly, Trish and her team, and the fear other coordinators put in me -- inbox me.

Happy for you girlie!

I started out interested in LB also. I was fortunate enough to know a LB recipient and was able to pick her brain. I also researched via support groups. Some of the horror stories were too much for me and I noticed that they'd always revise to VSG so I figured I'd cut to the chase and get VSG (of course I did more research tho).

Kudos to everyone!

I am soooooooooo grateful for this particular post. I get 400-600 cals a day and thought it was a bit too low. But I'm glad to know that others experience this as well. I focus on Protein (I couldn't stand the taste of Protein drinks post-op) and experimenting with new recipes that are within my comfort zone (I'm not much of an explorer when it comes to new foods).
I've been stalled for the last week and a half, but haven't freaked yet because you wonderful people warned me ahead of time. I meet with my PCP mid-February and hope that my nutrition efforts have been worthwhile. I'm not the type to work well with a regiment of Vitamins and pills -- I ALWAYS FORGET THOSE DARN THINGS!!!
I know that I'm kinda all of the place with this post, but I am so happy to see your responses.

Wow.....I'm in a serious stall and am definitely struggling to get past 600 calories most days. My short term goal is 800 calories. I don't know how you guys can eat so much.

How much is considered low carb? What are some common foods that are high in carbs?

I use a whole wheat tortilla, bake it in the oven for a few minutes until it's slightly crisp. I then put marinara sauce, shredded cheese, mini pepperoni, and veggies on it. I then bake until the cheese is melted. I slice in 4ths, eat one slice, then fridge for later. I put it bake in the oven to reheat.

LOL......calm down......I consider this a support group, but if you don't believe in anything someone has said then there is a special website called Google that can help you find the answer.

I have an appt on the 17th and hoping they'll say that my little pearls are disappearing. I doubt they will though. I've been on my cycle for the last two months :-(
