The best way to get the scale moving is diet, exercise, and patience. Nearly all of us hit the three week stall (give or take a week). Believe me, you have no where to go from here but down. :-)

Try asking your doctor to put you on Ursodoil after surgery. It will slow the creation of stones.....BUT, it's not 100% stone proof.

Try looking for a dress from Mexico. They ship quickly and have more options for plus sized brides than american shops. However, make sure to measure yourself and send them the measurements to ensure that the dress will fit. Wedding dresses run extremely small.

Please don't take it personally. Your friends are probably still your friends. What I find is that we bombard our friends with new discoveries about our new body. It does get tiring to our friends. As exciting as our news may seem to us, it gets old fast with them. Maybe ration your victories to once a week?
Also, we sometimes forget about the struggles of others. If she's had the surgery, is she going through a stall or personal issue while you are excelling?
Continue to be encouraged......we are all winners.

Be encouraged. You will make it to your goal.

Yes, it will pass. Are you doing liquid only?

As a sleeve only patient, may I ask why you are waiting later in the year to have the sleeve revision done? I personally would be concerned with the amount of scarring that would be involved (not to mention the pain of being cut on three times instead of two).

Is 248 your highest weight? Sometimes when we wear clothes to an office visit it reads differently than our at home scale. I would put my highest weight and BMI.
Otherwise, you did a wonderful job. :-)

Congratulations! That was a great feat. I'm still trying to shorten my mile.

I agree with Lissa. Unless it's serious (and if it is I'm sure you would have told him about your plans), then there is no need to explain further.

I definitely know what you are talking about. Some of my depression was linked to PCOS and it hit me hard when I was in college. I barely wanted to get out of the bed and face the world. I'd go to school then come home and hide. When I hit my breaking point, it was my mom that saved me. I did my share of crying, then I worked out of it. Every once in a while I feel depression trying to sneak back in. On those days, I do something nice for myself (which I never do). It always perks me up.

Super! I love to run. At this point, I'm so out of it that I can barely jog. However, I warmed up my treadmill and hope to be in a race after a year of training.

Congratulations!

WOW!!!! Absolutely amazing!!! I'm about 6-7 weeks and haven't seen anywhere the amount of difference that you have. Congrats!

Hope that you're feeling better.

We are in the exact same position. I am in the mushy/pureed stage and food seems so different now. My first experience with refried beans kept me full for a day and a half. It seems like I'm full just drinking water. On top of that, my weightloss has also stalled. Although I'm not terribly disappointed with the stall, my relationship with my stomach really has me down. I don't feel like myself. It feels like I'll never be able to move from the pureed stage.

Congrats!

What was the outcome?

I was told not to do weights until about 6 weeks out. Maybe that's why you're having pain near your incision?
If you absolutely must work-out, try doing less intense exercises.
I'm kinda like you.....I can't wait to get cleared to run.

I have been told by other posters that the protein shots Char mentioned should not be taken because they contain collagen. I have only been able to find one company that sells protein shots made for bariatric patients with 42gm per serving.
I think it only comes in a few choices, but I figured I could put the Lemon-Lime or Watermelon in a Crystal Light Lemonade.
Protein Bullet Shot

Can be found at:

but may also be found at other supplement stores
Hope that helps. I'm going to order some soon.

Congrats on the weightloss. I've been up and moving around since I got back from Mexico. I'm going back to work tomorrow (I have a desk job). I also have annoying gas pains. Today at church I forgot all about my sleeve and took part in communion. Luckily I didn't have a problem with sleevie.
Just keep up the good work and stay hydrated.
