Running is fun?!? ???? I'm better at it now, I do it twice a week but its not fun for me. I'm glad you found something you like to do! That's the important part. We stay at the exercise longer and more often if it is doing something we enjoy.

fluffylibra30 replied to jennifer4444's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
One night my husband kept moving around in bed and was elbowing me. He said, "there is something under the sheet get up so I can see" It was my hip bone. Baahaa -
NEVER eating a french fry again!
fluffylibra30 replied to Alicia0022's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can't eat FFs either. They taste bad and give me a tummy ache. If I get fast food I get Arby's. the turkey bacon wrap (plain) lasts 2-3 meals and so good! Now I do get a hankling for a McDonald's chicken nugget, but one down and I remember why I don't eat it anymore. I never thought I would rather cook lol. -
Whats the longest stall you have had and at what month did u stop losing?
fluffylibra30 replied to loveit1222's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Carbs, carbs, carbs. Such a love hate relationship. I have done high then low, I feel like poo on Adkins low (20) but think my nut is crazy when she says 110-120 at a year out. I stay at 60-70. I know you can lose the weight on super low, but as soon as you get to goal and start incorporating them you are going to gain again. I finally found a number I was happy with where I could still lose weight. You just have to find that # and stick with it. Good luck. -

fluffylibra30 replied to loveit1222's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine was 9 weeks! I did EVERYTHING! Finally I started chugging the Water. A gallon a day. For a week. Then the next week I lost 4 pounds them 6 then 3. This was in May. Now ever since then I drink that much every day and haven't been stalled since. 124 down 20 pounds to go! -
Why water is the key to fat metabolism
fluffylibra30 replied to newgrandmother's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks for the info! I didn't know the scientific info but I know when I drink a gallon of Water a day the pounds fall off. The weeks I can't get it in I don't drop a pound. -

I'm never Hungry!
fluffylibra30 replied to UndercoverBariatricGal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You didn't ask me, but I am 13 months out, I eat hot wings (not breaded) once a week at my hubs favorite restaurant. Fried chicken not so much, the grease hurts my stomach. I guess it just depends on the stomach. -
I'm sorry I just saw this! At Finish Line! They had 5 different kinds/colors. I am going to be rocking a pair soon! Acics are great workout shoes. But NO ONE tell Nike I'm cheating on them!

I am a busy mom and run with stuff to do all day, i don't get a bit hungry so sometimes I DO forget to eat. Sure doesn't make me stupid. Just makes me absent minded and not food obsessed anymore!

5'5" Women....what is your goal weight or size?
fluffylibra30 replied to VSGRachel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 5'5 and now weigh 173. I don't think I look it at all and no one believes me when i tell them. i think it is all in your body structure. My goal was 147 but already my collarbones are sticking out, my shoulders look bony the only place I have any "extra" is my middle, I have lost 121 pounds and I think atleast 10 pounds is skin. I'm going to lose another 15 more then see. I am having my muscle mass measured in February and I think that will be when I decide my final goal. Don't get stuck on a #. It's too stressful! -

Reconstructive surgery - skin removal
fluffylibra30 replied to Looking Ahead's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am getting a tummy tuck, next year. (Boobs too!) I was advised by my surgeon and plastic surgeon to wait a year at goal weight. I have 13 pounds to go. Also unless your arms are really bad I wouldn't advise. Every person/photo I have seen of a skin removal on the arms the scars have looked 10x as bad as the arm skin ever did. -
Smoking and Post Op
fluffylibra30 replied to #Redy4chg.org's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't care one way or other if someone continues to smoke, my question is why? Your doing all this to get healthier and be better. Smoking kills you, takes years off your life. Bad for your heart. Been proven to make your older faster. Why would you still want to do that after completely changing your diet and lifestyle? I just don't understand. -
I think that finding your "thing" is the most important part. Buy you some dumbbells and do weight work at home. You can find tons of arm workouts on Pintrest. ( I love that page!) ill have to try Zumba water! Sounds like fun. I have no rhythm and am quite clumsy though :-/

Sometimes people come here for justification of their behaviors and only want positive posts. If you come on here a few weeks out of surgery "oh I ate a double cheeseburger and some chips with no problem" people are going to be upset and be opinionated. If you don't want both sides of the opinion spectrum maybe you shouldn't post. Just because someone doesn't AGREE doesn't mean they are a "meanie" should they call names, use offensive language and belittle anyone, absolutely not. But this IS an opinion forum. You take the good with the bad and don't let anything anyone says here get you down.

I eat the Weight Watchers deserts. If you want something sweet that is a good thing to grab. Most are 100 calories or so. My favorite is the chocolate chip cookie dough. And the chocolate cake. YUM.

Exercise after VSG!
fluffylibra30 replied to christy38's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I feel you go through this to feel better and be healthier inside and out. There are so many added benefits to working out besides losing weight. The main being Heart health. Why would you go through the surgery not to be at your best? Exercise helps that. -

i wanna a soda do freaking bad i can scream
fluffylibra30 replied to bbbslady's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am honestly not sure, what is a good amount. The caffeine limits is because it can cause an ulcer and our stomachs are so much smaller so an ulcer is much more serious. I would ask your NUT what is an acceptable amount. I myself am guilty of a 5 hour energy shot once In awhile. I can't stand the taste of coffee but like the caffeine kick as well. -

fluffylibra30 replied to bbbslady's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's mostly the carbonation not the caffeine. Caffeine in small portions won't hurt. -

I missed it FOREVER! I was a HUGE Mt Dew drinker. I could drink 3-4 20 Ozs at work, and a few cans before work. It was the hardest thing to give up. I have never had a sip because I feel that's my gateway drug!
