I'm in Houston area an would be interested to. I started in a 24 an now an in a 15/16! Hate buying clothes... Never get to where anything twice, because when I get ready to where again it's to big!

I woke up this morning and weighed 199.2. I am so happy to see that number, it has been over 7 1/2 years. I couldn't wait to share it with everyone. Have a great Thursday everyone!

go to the website 30dayfitnesschallenge.com they have different challenges you can do to help you get in shape...I have break them up like if its 50 squats I will do ten at a time five times a day so its not so hard on my arthritis

wow all I can say is wow no not all of us have the issues she had I did have the problem of food coming back up but that was because I was eating too much or the wrong type of food. No I did not lose any of my hair. It seems like scare tactics. ITs your life live it the way you want. My usual comment for people who want to tell me how to live is...Tank you for your concern but I got this!

Excellent post! I actually left the site and took a nice long break because so many of the recent arrivals were being really nasty when provided with answers they didn't want to hear, and so many vets who I really liked had left out of frustration. I recently decided to give the site another chance, since it was so helpful for me pre-op and during my first couple of months post op. I find myself needing a community of support again, and am happy to see that a number of the users who were being vicious back then seem to be gone Thanks to all those uber-patient vets who are still here, handing out solid advice and reason!!! (I'm specifically looking at you, @RJ'S/beginning !)

...don't come down on folks when they offer it.
Especially if you are new to the WLS experience and the vets respond to you. We see the same questions over and over and over again and we still take the time to answer you because we know that for you, it's the first time you are going through this.
It would be so easy for us vets to leave the forum and live our lives successfully but we stay here because we remember how it was at the beginning or if we see that you are struggling during the WLS journey....so we stay here and try to help. Please think about that if you don't like how we've responded. It's not because we know better....it's because we simply know more than you do right now. Respect that please.
We try so hard to be sympathetic when you screw up or ask questions that you already know the answers to...like I didn't lose 5 lbs. in one week, is this a stall? Or, I ate a bag of chips...did I do bad?
I've been on this forum for a year and a half and in that time, I've seen too many vets take a hike and it's often because they are rebuffed when they offer insights or even just their own personal experiences. If you want this forum to succeed, and if you personally want to succeed...be aware of what you say either on the forum or when you PM. Especially when you PM.
And one more thing. I didn't post this on Rants and Raves because it's not a rant. It's a request.

Friday is my weigh day, yesterday was my four months since surgery. Last week was the first time the scale did not move but I knew the problem so I got back on the Airdyne and this mornings wt loss was 5 lbs! That totals me a 70 lb loss (51 inches) in four months and only one lb from "onderland". I feel wonderful!!!

Look up sleevey wonders...won't get rid of them, but can help expand your wardrobe a bit.

This is hard to do because your skin won't always bounce back. Building muscle can help though! Check out this curcuit training DVD

It's the best I've ever done and you can do 15 minute workouts. Slowly increase your weights over time and it should help you out!

Hi now exercising and inches coming off but no progress on upper arms. Can someone please tell me how to tone up my bat wing arms...its driving me crazy! thank you in advance for your help

Sadly, the only way I will get rid of mine is with surgery. The muscles I have developed are masked by INCHES of cottage cheese fat and extra skin...... Pitiful looking. Hopefully, that is not the case for everyone. I think I could jump off a cliff and fly with all of my extra bat skin.

I go to the one in Houston and had the same issue. Mine was not tilted sometimes its just more difficult for them to find the right spot.

Went shopping for some shirts and got a cute one but realized I want it in different colors so called the store and told them I need it in plus size gave them the sku number and they said mama that is incorrect that in in junior/missy sizes...trying not to cry!!!! I am now in regular sizes!!!
