    Re-sleeve to Bypas

Yes thanks catwoman7 it is due to my severe GERD. Was giving the advice from my surgeon to have it done back in 2017 and I decided to wait keep doing meds and big lifestyle changes and unfortunately no relief if anything only worse. Definitely know the food choices and calorie intake are important. Also was told the weight loss is very low after the revision but not from personal experience.
  2. HI! I was wondering if anyone has gone from gastric sleeve to re-sleeve to bypass. Yes I know third revision 🥺 however my GERD has become horrible. So my surgeon wants to convert to bypass. My sleeve was done in 2011 and re-sleeve 2015. Need some input from experience!! Thanks!!
  3. Hi I am to going to have a sleeve to bypass revision due to serve GERD and hiatal hernia. I also have AETNA. Did you say you did not have to do the 3 or 6 month program again? I'm really hoping I don't have too. I do have a bmi of 40. I did have some weight gain back from the sleeve. Look forward to hearing from you 😊

    Sleeve to Pass

I was sleeved in 2015 my surgeon wants to convert to bypass because of severe GERD and hiatal hernia. I have Aetna and yes I know they'll cover revision. However was wondering if anyone with Aetna have a sleeve to bypass revision? If so how long did approval take and we're you required to do the 3 or 6 month program for nutrition?
  5. I know it has been quite some time. However I'm going in for revision if sleeve to bypass and also have Aetna. Did they require you to redo the 3mth or 6mth program? Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks

    Disappointed!

Thank you all for the kind words. Defintely was NOT looking for anyone's sympathy just venting! Saw the surgeon yesterday she says I am doing great! I have a long way to go but getting there slowly but surely!
  7. So I had my vsg on 6/2/11. I am 10 weeks post op tomorrow. I was never to happy with the weight loss. I was losing 5lbs a week for the first 8 weeks, last week I only dropped 3lbs and this week only 1lb so far! So disappointed
