    I've officially lost my marbles

Somehow, I let my oldest daughter, who is only home for the summer, to convince me to do a yard sale. We've been going throught the whole house and the yard sale is scheduled for next weekend right before my Monday 6/14 surgery. I knew I would be able to do it afterward, so we're squeezing it in before. Who knows, maybe it will help me keep my mind off of things. It sure is keeping us busy!!!

    First Setback - Hopefully Nothing

Still no news. The cardiologist was supposed to read the information from the monitor on Friday, but he was called to the hospital for an emergency. They are supposed to get back to me on Monday.

    First Setback - Hopefully Nothing

OK. I've been jumping through all the hoops. Did the psych eval, went for the sleep study, got the CPAP machine. Did the pulminology tests and blood tests, had my an ultra sound of my heart and EKG. Everything checked out fine up to that point. THEN today I had a stress test and I was told that my heart was skipping a beat occasionally even at rest before the test. :scared0: They sent me home with a heart monitor for 24 hours. Besides the fact this it's itchy, and I'm ready to rip the connectors off my skin, I'm paranoid that they may find something to deny my sleeve surgery. :thumbup1: Please keep your fingers crossed and say some prayers that there is nothing seriously wrong and that I get the clearance I need from the cardiologist!!

    First Setback - Hopefully Nothing

Thanks for your support and comments. I looked up PVC and must admit that I'm feeling much better now. In most cases, PVC's don't seem to be a big problem. The cardiologist will let me know by Friday what they found.

    My Sleep Apnea Cured!

Hey, Maddie. Hope you are doing better with your CPAP. I finally had 3 nights in a row without taking off the mask in the middle of the night. It's been about 3 1/2 weeks for me now and I think I'm finally getting used to it. I was haven't serious doubts at first that I would get used to the CPAP, but finally, I think it's gonna be OK.

    No more philly cheesesteaks... *sob*

I'm not sleeved yet, but I've been mourning the loss of Philly Cheese Steaks for 8 years now. We moved to Oklahoma 8 years ago from Pennsylvania and we can't find an authentic Philly Cheese Steak anywhere. I still think about how delicious they are. I guess I'll have to get used to missing many different foods after my surgery. It's gonna be ok though. I guess we'll just have to adjust.

    My Sleep Apnea Cured!

I can truly feel pain. I just got my about 2 1/2 weeks ago. Things are finally getting better. First I had to switch to a different mask. I'm doing better on the new one, but at first I had it on too tight. It's seems like every other nigt I'm still taking the mask of in the middle of the night when I'm mostly asleep. Sometimes if I wake up again, I put it back on. I had to laugh when I read you post, though. I said almost the same thing to my husband on the 2nd night I had my CPAP. After tears and a mini tantrum I told him that I was just going to stay awake all night. Then there would be no way I could have sleep apnea. - I was so exhausted the first week or so. I definately wasn't getting enough sleep. - Things are not quite where I'd like them to be yet, but it's definately much better. Good luck - I hope it gets better for you soon.

    Got the CPAP

I really don't know if it's all machines or not. I would definately ask the company that gave you your CPAP.
