use the regular soy milk for Protein to thin them with. Are you really allowed to progress onto soft foods on day 11? Most people are told to wait until 2 weeks to start pureed or soft foods...? if you are then start slowly with very thin foods then as you get used to it make them a little thicker and so forth and so on......

Yes your age probably has everything to do with it... I had no problems up untill i hit 35 then i started to notice that i had waining intrest in my wife's attention. I went on for about 2 years then i hit 40, and the bottom fell out out the bucket. I went to the doctor and learned that my t level was 120. Way low for a forty year old... shots cured me. My levels have been as high as 1000 and i have never felt aggressive or hostile ever. I always feel alot more confident when taking it and it takes about a second to get me intrested in sex with my wife, i think it's the best thing since sliced bread...

2 turkey breast or 4-6 split chicken breast
2 fresh jalopeno's
cumin to taste
about 1 tsp of minced garlic
1 jar of your favorite picante sauce
salt and pepper (red or black) to taste.
8-12 oz of Mexican beer for liquid....
1/2 squeezed lime and 1/2 squeezed lemon...
Add all ingrediants to crock pot cook 6-8 hours
(on high if your watcing it on low if you putiing it on and leaving it)
or until all chicken/turkey is falling apart tender.
shred with a fork and mix well.
Serve in: Hard corn or Soft flour shells..
Garnishes: Bar-b-que sauce, sour cream, pico de gallo, tomatoes, lettuce, shredded cheese.
Sides: mexican rice, refried Beans, tortilla chips and queso dip
You could also use flank steak or pork tenderloin, if you prefer... I have used all and it works great either way...

The one thing that honestly makes me smile every day is when I stand in the bathroom, blowdrying my hair, and the light from the bathroom window shining in between that permanent triangle in between my thighs and girly bits. It's kind of cool, my thighs still touch at the top when wearing jeans, but it's just the little peak at the roundest part of my thighs, and it's only about an inch or 2. I have a huge gap in between my thighs and kneecaps now LOL.
Edit to add: And the fact that I can have sex in any position without my fat getting in the way.

I am really enjoying some things I have not enjoyed in years. I've lost 50 lbs since the start of my dieting a few months ago, most of which after I got the sleeve Dec 6th.

Getting out of the van without having to put the seat all the way back - and not forcing my belly past the steering wheel. Not getting winded putting on my socks! Not brushing against the shower door when I am exiting the shower. Not strangling my junk when I sit - my pant legs aren't tight any more. Sitting with the dog, he actually lies on the recliners cushion rather than half on my leg. The actual TASTE of food rather than the AFTER taste of what's left after I half chew it and swallow as much as possible. Actually seeing Mr Peter without having to hunch forward and crane my neck. Being able to tuck in my shirt and not have it come out and let my muffin top show My boxer / briefs actually have length in the legs now! They go down my thigh rather than bunch up against my crotch and hips. SAD FACT - being able to wipe properly My skin is actually clearing up! Nasty little bumps along my forehead and crusty scales are gone on my back! So what are your little pleasures that are coming back?

Welcome to the world of winner's beating the weight issues. myself i had my VSG 3-2-11 and have lost 91 lbs so far. i live just down the road in Alma, and used Dr. Roller in northwest AR for my surgery. if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask. someone here has probably experienced the same issue. good luck and keep up the good work.

Japan, that is where my son in law wants to go next, but my daughter doesn't....LOL Right now they are in Jacksonville Florida on the Naval Base. We did get to visit them in June, just went to Fla. for our vacation....LOL
Must be strange having a new "kid" in the house, especially one that isn't your own. Maybe she can join her husband soon in Japan.

That is wonderful news Jim. And Welcome to the board. I bet your sons are very proud of you. I know how it is when your children are gone, you really do miss them. Although my daughter is not in the service her husband is in the Navy and they are not stationed anywhere close. So she has been gone from home for over 4 years.

JIM, welcome to this great family. First, please thank your sons for the wonderful job they are doing protecting our freedoms and our country. Second, thank you and your wife for raising patriotic men as your sons to go serve our country in this manner. Third, thank you for your inspiring words and sharing your story. So often men won't take care of themselves due to some "macho" thing from the 70's or something. I know you will have lots of great advice for us pre-opers still waiting on our surgery dates.
