    I got 9 grams of carbs for all of them and it divided it between the whole recipe. It said 4 total crackers right? they only have about 2 carbs per cracker so it cant be more than 9 for the whole recipe then divided by four crab cakes.... also it gave me 1 g of carbs for the egg.

    I got different numbers alltogether....lol. I got 170 cal, 24 protein and 3 carbs with no sauce. What is giving you the high carbs? I put in whipped cream cheese.. maybe thats the difference.

    I will not be using the sauce, so I will plug it in without that. I guess it makes about four three ounce patties.
  4. Just weighed in at my surgeons office and my body fat percentage is now 28.4 down from 48.7 this time last year!!!!!!

    Labor Day Challenge 2012

    Thanks so much! I went back to the dr.s office today when I realized that when they weighed me friday, they entered the wrong height so my numbers like body fat percent were off! I weighed again today at the office and lo and behold---I have lost three pounds since I was there on Friday! My body fat percent is now 28.4 down from a whopping 49% at the start! Yay! I am glad the NUT told me what to do to get this last few pounds off. I pray they just keep coming off until I reach goal. I have three weeks left until my surgiversary and I am working hard at it! I am sorry your NUT is not so good. We had two previous ones that were not great either but this one is young and just out of college. Loves her job and she was so upbeat and positive! I told her what I wanted to do and said I knew it wasnt possible and she said "oh, no... thats totally doable, totally!" I was like, really? She proceeded to tell me not to worry about my calories, just get protein in at every available opportunity and keep carbs 20-30g daily. The lower the better. The main thing to worry about is keeping those carbs low! I have had between 16-26 g of carbs a day for three days and have lost a pound a day, even at this late date! Hooray! Need to add that in keeping the carbs low, my protein shot up into the 70's! I was only averaging 60 if that, since surgery. Thats so much better! My hair loss slowed a bit this morning too. I think its the extra protein.

    I Need Encouragement... Stall..

    Stalling is normal.. how is your carb count? I was stalled for about 6 weeks or so just recently. My nut told me to reduce my carbs to 30 or less and it broke! I lost 2 pounds over the weekend!
  8. I have lost 91 pounds so far and I am 8 pounds from my goal of 135. I want to be there by my 1 year surgiversay so I am following my NUTs advice and keeping it very low carb for the next three weeks to try to make that goal. I also am in the Labor Day Challenge to try to lose it by then, if I dont sooner.. Hopefully sooner but you never know when a stall will rear its ugly head. I have been strength training and walking this past week and so I hope that pays off too. I am a solid size 6 now, some are a smidge tight but not uncomfortable enough not to wear. That was my Goal Size! I am thrilled to be there! Now on to 4's if that is possible! Woohooo! Come on August Allstars, check in!!!!

    Labor Day Challenge 2012

    SW-145 CW- 142.9 GW-135 Finally broke my stall! Lost 2.1 pounds this past week. I am low carbing it till I get to goal. I saw my NUT on Friday and she gave me a new plan, which have been following now since Friday and I lost 2 pounds over the weekend! Wooop! I will make this challenge!
  10. Most of you guys know me well on these boards. I have been struggling the last few months, only losing 3 pounds a month or so. Since mid June--- hardly anything, just fluctuating up and down a pound. I am so frustrated. I made an appt with the NUT. I went on mfp and although lately the data is more limited than before, I gathered all the data I could. Seems I am able to eat more now and do. My exercise sort of fell off as well. I was concentrating on the amount of calories I was taking in but I also wrote down the average carbs and Protein a day. I printed out my diet for the last 6 months for us to go over. I was losing really well when my carbs and calories were lower, I noticed right away. I told the nut that I wanted to reach my goal of 135 pounds by my surgiversary and she said it was totally doable! I was shocked! That's 12 pounds according to her. How can I do that when I have only been losing 3 pounds a month! I will tell you how she said I could do it. My carbs must be 20-30 and no more! She said try to get as much protein as possible in even all the way up to 120 grams and no more than 30 carbs but aim for 20. She would prefer 0 carbs but its not realistic, she says. lol. So she gave me a list of Protein shakes that have very low carbs. I finally found one I could drink mixed with juice and now I cant have the juice! DAMMMIT! She gave me a premier shake from costco and I am going to try that in the morning and if its good, I will get a membership and go buy it. It only has one gram of carbs. My eating habits have to change because I was averaging 90 grams of carbs in the last month. My life is a mess, husband unemployed, child really sick with a stomach infection, blah blah blah. I am a stress and emotional eater. I am also a very determined person. If I set my mind to this, I will do it. I am skeptical of whether or not it will work, but what have I got to lose except 12 pounds????? I am a cookie addict and I love milk. I also love chips and stuff like that too. I was letting that creep back in a little bit and it caused my carbs to be higher... not that I am just pigging out but having the occasional. I was having two whole wheat ritz with my cheese and even that has to go. If anyone has any suggestions on snack type food that I might could substitute some of my cheese and crackers or Peanut Butter and vanilla wafers with, I am all ears. I dont like greek yogurt at all and I am pretty picky so that makes it hard for me to find things to snack on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again! Tammi

  16. I know this is a brave move on my part but here goes.... The first pic is of me last spring in Brazil (far left) (234 lbs). I was there visiting for a wedding and this pic was taken by my brazilian family and I didnt know it would eventually end up on Facebook! I was so embarrassed by it. I got tagged in it and it went all over my page and everyone saw it before I could get it taken down. Anyways.....The second and third pics are of me at the beach last week (147 lbs). I have a funny tan line on my belly that we all thought was hilarious. I do think there is quite a bit of difference that nearly 90 pounds makes! I am no supermodel but I thought I looked decent in a bikini, my first one in 22 years! I wore five different ones, one for every day at the beach! I was only a little bit self conscious in them. A huge leap for me!

    There is a phone in the hall to call on.its cordless so you share it with neighbors. There is also an ipad in your room. It has vst on it. We used google chat also for those of you with a smart phone. Regular phones don't get very good signal and roam. My sisters att phone charged per text but my tmobile smart phone didn't. I had a crappy sign al though. You have internet on the computer in your room and the ipad he gives you.

    So Overwhelmed! Help!

    I totally agree. You will worry yourself sick the night before but after its over, you will be like "thats it?" Take it one day at a time and you will learn the new eating habits as you go along. You wont even be in that much of a hurry. The time will pass and you will be back to regular food in no time at all. Take it easy, slow and steady wins the race!
  20. I just wanted a clarification when you say you had a vsg in 1999, are you positive you had a sleeve gastrectomy or was it a bypass?. I didnt realize the surgery had been around that long or that you could gain all your weight back plus some from diet pepsi and of course other stuff. Do you still feel any restriction? I am thinking that maybe you had a bypass or something that would explain it. I know with bypass, you can stretch your pouch out to the way it was presurgery. At any rate, I hope you find an answer that will help you to lose the weight again. Just wanted to be sure we were talking apples to apples. Thanks and good luck. The DS is a good surgery too I hear and people have great success with it as a second step. Good luck to you!

    Bad News :(

    Are you positive you have to resubmit? Cobra just carries on with no loss in coverage, you just become responsible for the premium each month. I would check into that if you have not already. I am sorry to hear this.
  22. I actually record my losses by month and they are in my signature. I have lost 90 pounds in 11 months. I met my surgeons goal but my personal one is still 10 pounds away. My BMI was 40 and now its 25, a normal weight from morbidly obese. Everyone is different but I think you can expect to lose a good bit the first few months, then it slows.

    Labor Day Challenge 2012

    I hope this is my last challenge of the losing phase of my sleeve. I am 10 pounds away from my goal weight. I only lost 2.5 pounds the last challenge but it was only 5 weeks long and I stalled for 4 of it. Since I have 8 weeks+ in this one, I will go for my goal weight 135. I want to be there by my surgiversary but sadly, I have stalled too much to make that goal a reality. I want to get there by Labor day and if I do, it will be the first challenge I will achieve. I have been in each one, starting with Halloween last year and have yet to actually achieve one!!! I will make this last one! I will!!!!!! SW-145 GW-135 Lets do this!!!

    July 4Th Challenge

    SW-147 GW-142 CW-144.6 I lost 2.5 pounds during this challenge instead of the 5 I was hoping for. Its okay, a loss is a loss. I am so close to goal it is going to take a while to get there because the closer you get the harder it is. Im okay with that as long as I am losing. See ya the next challenge.
