Sweet Pee reacted to Indigo1991 in Boobs- when's right time for reduction?
Whilst I am looking fairly proportionate in my clothes, the problem I had pre weight loss remains - my boobs are way too big for the rest of me. (Including pre surgery, have lost 58lbs, 20-ish to go.) They were 40g, now a 34 hh. Good bra makes them look ok in clothes but undressed they look ridiculous in the context of my shrinking frame :-(
Went yesterday to buy a dress for an upcoming posh dinner and was so disappointed that despite my new size, I still can't get a dress that fits top and bottom :-(
So, to you girls who have had breast reduction, when did you get yours done post surgery? And did you get the timing right? Thanks...

I am sure this has been discussed before but...... I am going to ask again
I had my surgery in Mexico with Dr. F. Garcia in May 2012. I am sure that I am done losing.... My weight has teetered between 117 and 120 for the last three months (starting weight was 216). I have skin issues but nothing major...so I am not seeking to do any tummy tucks, lipo.... all i want is BOOBS... because right now all I have is skin and nipples... I went from a DD to an A cup... no bueno.
I am looking to have a boob job done but of course the cost here in the states is crazy compared to the cost in mexico (this will be my third surgery in mexico).
Please share your MEXICAN experience of your plastic surgery....
Thanks in advance
Kisha

I traveled alone last month to Tijuana Mexico for plastic surgery. Dr Victor Gutierrez was the BEST!! And trust me after I had a lower body lift, breast lift and butt lift, you will need a excellent surgeon. I thought I needed to bring supplies, and I brought everything that I could think of, but used none of it. It just made my bag heavier. I stayed in the recovery clinic with 24 hour nursing care for 7 days and needed nothing. I arranged ahead of time with the airline for assistance, and they took care of everything. Returning home, the pat down at the airport was funny to me. I just told them I recently had surgery. They were very understanding. I took a pain pill and a sleeping pill for my return flight home. That helped me to relax and with the anxiety of traveling more than anything.

Many people will continue to be confused about Protein and how to obtain enough on high nutrient green foods. That is because we have been taught from early on that the best sources only come animal sources. (the same meat that is injected with hormones and feed other rendered carcasses which make us sick, toxic, and fat) The FDA been teaching us this for year. The food and Drug Administration wants us to eat unhealthy pre packaged food in nice labels and pretty packaged with tantalizing commercial and We listen to this. The FDA feed us their Food and sell us their Drugs. Can you see the connection? We make the meat and dairy industry rich, then we become FAT AND SICK. Then Big Pharma can make money off of us because we are half dead.

Dr Joel Furhman speaks about leafy green vegetables and how they have enough Protein to support all of our bodies functions without meat or shakes. Just good fruits and vegetables. I have been very healthy and eating raw since I was sleeved 7/2011. I started juicing soon after my sleeve and have continued till now. I am more healthy with organic fruits and vegetables than with unhealthy hormone GMO fed meats that they sell at the super market. I am Very Healthy!

I know I was terrified about not being able to sit.... But you CAN sit. It is uncomfortable but the dr will tell you that you can sit, just don't spread your legs. The only uncomfortable part for me was sitting on the toilet. I want to say that as far as pain it really is not as painful as you might think. You will be sore and uncomfortable, but really "pain" only the first day or two, then it's just twinges and swelling.
As far as traveling alone.... Even that was nothing. I did fine, no worries. Once you get to the hotel there are (most of the time) other patients that have traveled alone as well. While I have been here there have been 6 of us and only one that had a travel partner. Sooooo it is new starts and new friendships:)
I def worried for nothing!!

I'm wondering if it would be ok to juice during the liquid phase. I would think raw juice wld be safer than processed broth. Is it unsafe cuz of the acid? Wondering if anyone knows.

Farms that produce raw milk are under strict supervision of the USDA. They sell raw milk at many stores and there are many more good things for you in raw milk than there are in pasteurized and homogenized.

Ha ha ha, I know what you mean. My kids can eat a whole container of Pringles that Grandpa buys them, but they will only eat a small amount of grapes or cherries. Yes they are expensive, but my food bill is low because i refuse to buy anything else in the store. I just want my kids to learn how to eat healthy, and not have to have surgery to cut out half their stomach. Please do not get me wrong, I really love my tiny tummy, but if I can pass down good healthy eating habits to my kids . . . Which is not easy, They may mot have to go through the misery of being overweight, and the health issues that come along with it. Sometimes it seem I am fighting a losing battle. I wish there was a magic pill . . .

To OP - are your going to Dr Sauceda? Are you a member of the FB group and OH groups? LOTS of people travel there alone there is so much after care there!!!
Thanks for posting the TJ options, his photos do look good. Is there a way to learn more about this doctor - a patient group or anything?
I am planning my plastics for late Oct/Nov and my family is pushing me hard to stay local - but I will say that when you go to Mexico they keep you there and you actually have nursing care. All the consults from the USA - all outpatient go home the same day. That scares me!

Sweet Pee reacted to Kris in Great Online Resource for Breast Reduction/Lift/Augmentation Patients
Hi All,
I had breast reduction surgery on July 1st. I thought I knew enough about the surgery before going into it, but unfortunately I've experienced a rare complication (ischemia, which is loss of blood flow & oxygen to nipple/areola) and it has been a very scary and uncertain time for me the past week as I've tried to educate myself about what my condition is and what will happen next. My plastic surgeon has been very responsive and reassuring, but there's only so much time in a day he can spend answering questions, so I have taken it upon myself to learn as much as I can about this situation.
In my online researching, I found a really useful website, www.breasthealthonline.org, and I've learned tons about the breast reduction procedure on that site. I only wish I had known about this site before having surgery ... I am sure I would have been better prepared for what to expect after surgery, and possibly heal better. The site not only covers breast reduction, but also breast lift and breast augmentation, and even a section on tummy tucks (since many people have a combo breast and Tummy Tuck procedure). They are very big into using a "healing diet" which helps people recover faster (it basically is a very sleeve-friendly diet, lots of greens & fruits & vegetables & lean protein) and share lots of info about nutrition on the site.
There is a section of the site where you can view pictures of people who have had various surgeries. It does cost $25 to access it but I would really recommend it because you can get an accurate view of what your incisions/scars will look like at various points in time following surgery. I paid for the picture access so that I could better understand what happens to women who have the complication I've experienced, but even if I'd had a perfect recovery I still would have liked to see the pictures.
I'm now nearly 3 weeks out of surgery, and honestly my pre-surgery expectations of what the healing process would be like after this surgery were WAY off. In my experience, the VSG procedure was a walk in the park compared to breast reduction surgery. I'm still really babying my incisions, need lots of rest, and my range of motion is still fairly limited. But, this is very typical (I know now) so I don't feel so badly about it.
I just thought I'd share in case you are contemplating having any cosmetic surgery involving your breasts.
Oh, and BTW, even though I'm dealing with a serious complication, I have to say I still love my "new" breasts and know when I'm all healed up I'll be even happier. And I know that eventually I *will* heal up completely; it just may take a bit longer than I had anticipated.
Best,
Kris

So you send the pictures to the doctor, he then makes an assessment. You work out the price, schedule an appointment then get and airline ticket and fly out? Sweet! I can't wait to save my pennies for a Tummy Tuck.< /p>

Try adding some kale to your green juice mix- lots of nutrients, not much taste.
Sounds like a great day.
I think for a long term plan, adding dairy, nuts and Beans would round out this type of food plan but for 7-30 days, it's a great detox of processed foods, chemicals, medals, etc.
