Before my surgery with Dr Victor Gutierrez I stayed in a hotel near his lovely doctors office. The surgical facility/recovery clinic is right next door to his doctors office. (a few feet away) :-) After my surgery I stayed at the recovery clinic with 24 hour nurses care who specialize in plastic surgery patients for 7 days. Wow, and it was great! I have not experienced much pain like you have, but I take it very slow! 6 weeks is not enough time for me. How are you feeling now? Dr Joel Furhman has helped many people get healthy. Even after my sleeve, my body was sick from eating the SAD (Standard American Diet) I vowed I wanted not only to lose weight, but to achieve HEALTH. I has been a long road. Returning home, the pat down at the airport was funny to me. I just told them I recently had surgery. They were very understanding. I took a pain pill and a sleeping pill for my return flight home. That helped me to relax and with the anxiety of traveling more than anything.
