Yes, I am watching my carbs, I hardly get any in, because I eat only protein, but I can not eat to much, because I start feeling sick. YOu can do to be under 200 by the end of the year, lets plan that goal the both of us. I have been looking for a excersize bike for when it starts getting cold outside. I need to excersize more, that is for sure.

I'm doing okay I'm down 30 lbs since sugery, not as much I would have like to have lost, but at least it is something. I'm trying to figure out this new forum, it took me 10 minutes to figure out how to get to my comments. lol How are you doing? I'm not on as much since they changed everything.

Hello from the losers bench. I have lost 10 lbs this week, and am super stoked about it. ONly real problem I'm having is when I drink, or even think about drinking (lol) I get a pain either in my chest. or a sharp pain down the middle of my back. The day of my surgery, and that night, I thought I was dieing. But things seem to get better once I left ICU. I hated that leak test, and got sick to my stomach from that crap they have you drink. Well I have not heard from you lately, and wanted to know how you were doing? How much have you lost so far? It is all so exciting isn't it? Take care and let me know how you are doing.

Hey, I have not heard from you lately, and wanted to see how you were doing? Did you get your surgery date yet? I don't know if you read or not, but I ended up having my surgery on Se[tember 2, only one week after my originial surgery date. I'm doing well, and am going back to work on MOnday, Part time. Please let me know how you are doing.

Let me know what you are eating on your clear liquid diet. Oh went to Sams saw that flavor stuff you were talking about, I'm going to have my mom pick me up a bottle of each flavor each time she goes and some of the protein mix. Just afraid to buy abig bag of that stuff and then it tast like crap. lol

I'm so glad your surgery went great. I know reading some of the posts on here it kind of scares me about the pain,and gas. I am on a waiting list if anyone cancels, so I'm prayering. Oh I found out I do not have a pre-op diet. Yipee I was so glad when they told me that. They did tell me I had to lose 16lbs, but that should not be a problem as long as I stay on weight watchers. Also found out my surgery is on a Thursday, and I will have to stay at the hospital until that next Monday, since I live so far away. In a way I feel kind of better, so if something does go wrong I wll be right there. I just hope they don't make me stay in the hospital the entire time, I think I will actually go bonkers if they do. So how much have you lost. Yesterday I went shopping and bought me a size 14 dress for after my surgery. I get so excited thinking I will be able to wear that one day, don't know when, but one day. lol

I just got back from my trip to the Surgeon in West Virginia, and was wondering how you were doing? I hope everything is going ok, and you are doing well after your surgery. I got my surgery date it is December 2, it seems like a very long time, but I'm sure it will go by fast. Let me know how you are doing when you get a chance.

Wow, tomorrow is your big day!!!! How exciting!!! What time is your surgery? I will be thinking and praying for you. Are you packed and ready to go? How far do you have to travel? I will be waiting to here from you when you are up to it post-op so you can tell me what I have to look forward too.

Two more days, I know you are so excited. I wrote down that combination of the DaVinci Syrup and vanilla, because it sounds yummy.

I hope everything goes well with your surgery, I'm sure it will go fine. I leave for West Virginia on Thursday morning, I'm still waiting for my doc to call me about that stupid ultra sound of my gallbladder. Hopefully I will hear something tomorrow. So are you all packed for the hospital? Did they give you a list of what to bring with you to the hospital? How far is your hospital from your house? Make sure you get back on here asap after your surgery, and let me know you are okay.

I have to go clean out my car for the trip Thursday it was one of the stipulations of my mom driving me, was my car had to be clean, not that it was super dirty, but she is a Ms. Clean.

I was going to buy some to try, but they say that your taste buds may change after surgery, so I did not want to waste my money. I was going to start buying a pack of that sample sets they have mentioned on here ,and try some of those isopure or whatever they are they sell at GNC. I thought if the protein stuff was bad enough I would just buy me a shot glass to keep by me and drink them that way. lol Oh and hold my nose at the same time. lol I may get some of that unflavored protein to add to my food. I will try that DaVinci Gourmet Syrups from Sams are they by the protein mixes? Wow you have been on your preop since the 3rd, that is a long time. Are you doing the count down yet? lol

Well that will be a nice birthday present to yourself. We should be thinner by Christmas, and just think by next year there will be half of us. I'm so excited, I'm trying not to be andif my doc does not call with a appointment for the ultra sound of my gallbladder, I'm going to have a COW!!! Let me know how your pre op testing goes, and I will let you know how my visit goes next Friday. Just think this time next month I may be sleeved. (hard to believe). I'm almost there, wow after a year. But I have been trying to hae WLS surgery for 5 years now.

I'm going to the VA in Hunington next Friday, and as long as I can get a ultra sound of my gallbladder before then she said that most likely will schedule my surgery for next month. She said they were even going to send me to anestesiologist next Friday, and get all my preop test done. I'm excited, I'm tyring not to be, because I have had my hopes up and been knocked back a few spaces. SO have you started your preop diet how is going? Is it really bad? You have to tell me everything? Do you have protein drink mixes now, for after surgery, and if so what kind did you buy?

Thanks, when I talked to my nurse yesterday she said I lossed enough weight because I actually lost 10 lbs since June. I'm going to stick to Weight Watchers probably until my surgery. I go next Friday and if everything looks okay they will schedule me for sometime in September. They are even sending me to the anesthesiologist (can't spell) lol and do all my preop test. So thats sounds hopeful. I'm trying not to get my hopes up because I have learned with this journey, that something always seems to happen.. lol Have you had your surgery? If so when, and if not when are you going to have it?

I had my weight in tonight, and lost another 2lbs so that is 4 now. I was so happy I thought I was going to gain. That makes me feel better.

Thanks for the encouragement, some days are better then others. Sometimes I'm actually happy it was postponed(NOT), but I tell myself that so I can become more knowledgeable about the surgery and what I will need to do before and after the surgery.

I'm doing okay, still waiting to hear something from the VA. I called the nurse at the VA in West Virginia, and my primary doctor at my VA, and left messages for both of them but neither one returned my call. I just keep thinking next Monday I was suppose to star my preop diet, and I read all these people having their surgeries, I'm happy for them but it is so darn depressing, because that was suppose to be me in a couple of weeks, and now I have no clue when I'm going to get it. I started Weight watchers, and lost 2 lbs last week, I weigh in again tomorrow,(wish me luck). So maybe by the time I go for my consult with the surgeon I will have lost my weight and then they will just schedule my surgery. Thank you for checking on me I'm trying to stay strong, but sometimes, I just don't know. In October it will be a year I have been going through the process, is that crazy or what. How are you?

That is great, I know you are excited. My story is a long one. I am having my surgery through the VA, they sent me to a civilian surgeon last October. Well I had to do a few things that the Surgeon required, once I finally had everything done it was July before I had a date for my surgery which was August 25th. Well the VA decided that I should not have my surgery done by a civilian doctor, and so now I have to go through a VA in West Virginia. I don't mind it that much anymore, it is just the waiting that is really getting to me. But as long as I get my Sleeve soon I will be okay, plus I don't have to pay a dime for it, so I can not complain. Well keep me posted, and let me know how everything goes in Mexico.

Thank you so much. I lost 2.4 lbs last week. I was so happy, but I have many more to go. I'm hoping by the time I go for my consult I will have lost the required weight and they will just schedule my surgery.

Thanks I'm still going to have it I just have to go through a VA hospital. The only thing I have to do that this VA requires, and my surgeon did not was to lose 10 pounds on a supervised diet like weight watchers. So I'm joining next week, and was thinking about doing a preop diet so I can lose my ten pounds quickly. lol THanks for the encouragement, and I have to keep my faith otherwise I would not of made it this far. I wish I could just self pay but being a single mother that lives from pay day to pay day it is out of the question. It will happen I just don't know when, and it is not going to be fast enough for me.

hi sunshine, I was reading your information sheet. I'm from Lawrenceburg, TN. Where are you having your surgery? I'm having mine at Vanderbelt August 24th, 2010. I just received my date a few weeks ago, have been going throught the process for almost a year not because of my insurance but because of my surgery wanting so many things?
