Incognito!  I'm having lapband surgery and basically no one knows.  I have only told my daughter and cousin - I don't keep any secrets from either of them.  First - I'm humilated that I let myself get to this point (248 lbs.).  Second - I don't want anyone to try to talk me out of it and/or judge me.  Third - I don't want to freak out any of my family due to my impending elective surgery.  My mother died during surgery (heart transplant) two years ago, so everyone in my family is very anxious about any of us having surgery, since we know that death is a very real possibility.  

Has anyone else kept this a secret?  I'm taking a week's vacation to have the surgery on January 31, 2012.  I am staying (aka hiding out) with my daughter following my surgery.  Since I am incognito, I won't be posting any pictures, unless I change my mind at a later date.  For my new lapband buddies, we can exchange pics if you would like.  Here's wishing everyone much luck on our journey to a new healthier lifestyle!
