That is an amazing feeling.... Good for you!!!! I too find I am in a smaller size then what I was at this same weight 7 years ago. I do the samething maybe the sizes just run bigger now lol...But I think some of the weight I have is alot of lose skin... If you take all that away then I would most likly lose another 20 pounds and the sizing would be about right.

I had my sleeve done 6/2/11. I have fought my weight all my life, not something I have ever ever been in control of. But thanks to the sleeve I have lost 94 pounds in less than 5 months. So here is a during picture lol.... I am not an after YET! But I will be because I am worth it. The one in the black was taking today. The one in the white was taken July of 2010 for my 40th birthday.

I completely agree, I should wear a t-shirt saying I had the sleeve surgery, I tell so many people. People I've seen but we never spoke would ask how I lost so much weight. They all seem to know someone that should have wls. So far no one has said anything negitive.

Here's my two cents. I did not tell anyone but my boss. While I was out I asked him to let everyone know. I was out two weeks. When I came back & they saw the weight I was losing I had several people come to me in private about the surgery. I have talked to wives, family members & co-workers. People do not know about the sleeve. I have had wives burst out crying ( along with me ) when they see now there is HOPE. (remember this feeling) I have given out books about WLS.
One women stopped me & asked how I had lost weight & said she was signing up for weight watchers again. While talking to her she logged on & scheduled a appointment for the Sleeve. She has been fighting her weight for the 25 years we have worked together.
Most of the help has been for grown son's & daughters who needed help but did not know it was out there.
How many people will not better there lives because people stay silent?
    Just my two cents worth.

AmandaG. got a reaction from mythreechildren2001 in How far out were you before you started to feel real hunger?
I was really hungry about day 10 I mean to the point I couldn't sleep. I remember being so mad at someone for saying it was only head hunger and to deal with it. I talked to my dr and started pureed foods about a tablespoon at a time. Now I really don't get hungry. In fact if I am busy busy I will not even notice the time. I do have acid problems, I am on two meds for that. Now I am 10 weeks out and sometimes my tummy will growl and I know I need to put food in it. But most of the time I eat because I know it is time to eat. And I feel an empty feeling more than a hunger feeling. So around 2 or 3 hours I will eat one or two small squires of beef Jerky and I am good until my next meal.

So I decided to go thrift store shopping today as I really didn't have too many summer items. Well of course as I usually do I started out in the wrong size section. Then I finally thought well I was a size 14 and those seem to be getting a little big in the waist so maybe I should try a size smaller . So I grabbed a bunch of size 12's & 12P's capris and a pair of black levis size 12 for work. I also grabbed some size large, and some medium tops. To my suprise EVERYTHING FIT!! OMG I have NEVER gone into any store and kinda hurridly picked up some clothes to try & have them ALL fit in my LIFE. Needless to say I was grinning from ear to ear the whole trip back home. But I need to add that originally when I started this journey I was a big mamma's size 32 capri's. WOW!!! I wish I had some pic's to post but my daughter says she will come over soon and post a before and after pic's when she has a day off. I just don't know how to cut, copy, paste that stuff so I can post it here. I wish to thank everyone on this site for their encouragement and insite they have given me since I joined this support group. You all are a great group of people thats for sure!!!

I have a body bug, like the ones on the biggest loser, and until I read this post, and checked out the fitbit website I loved my body bug. This fit bit seems to use different technology than the body body bug, and I am not sure if it would be as accurate as the body bug. The free website, and cheaper price make the fit bit much more attractive than the body bug. Needless to say I am thinking about switching up and going with the fit bit, the free website tools are the kicker for me, even the premium membership at fitbit is cheaper than the body bug website. I may run a side by side comparison for a week or so and see which one works best.

I have one. And, I will say I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it!
It not only tracks the calories you burn, but it tracks your sleep AND the amount of steps you take.
It is definitely a motivation tool.
I adore mine. I wear it DAILY! Feel naked if I don't!
