So i'll be 2 YEARS OUT July 2013 and i want to be under my all time low... !!!
Wow!!!!!!!
It's been a long time since i've been on here. I was sleeved July 2011. I've lost over 100 lbs and i feel great! I've been maintaining my loss through all my ups and downs (divorce, death in fam etc..). I'm booked and paid up to have a Tummy Tuck and some Lipo. And if i still need it in a few months i'll have an arm lift and yes a thigh lift... since my weight has been stable for quite some time now ...
Still hard to believe i was ever a size 22 and my waist measured 51 in... when i look back over my pictures from the past, at the time of the pic didn't think i was so big but now i see i was defiantly in need of some help. and i found it ( thanks sleeve and Dr Aceves) ... current info and measurements 5'3 149lbs bust 34 waist 32 and hip/but 36. I have lots of skin because i lost my weight super fast in about 7 months or so and i've been between 145-150 my heaviest weight since surgery was 158 but i was uncomfortable at that weight so i watched my portions and excercise to get back down.. i would love to reach 140 before my tuck. So i'm back at it again. Portioning and excersizing i pray i make my goal!!!
I will post more pics soon. Bless you all and message me anytime i'm always around and drop by from time to time.
2 yr surgerivery coming july 2013... can hardly believe it.

I am wondering if this is because of a lack of proper nutrition after surgery?
this would be my guess as well ... because I had skin problems and hair problems. my very best guess is that the small amount of nutrition we do get from our diet after surgery goes to the other more important organs on the list... cardiovascular( heart), kidney, liver, lungs.... basically these things are at the top of the list as far as systems are concern so skin and hair take a back seat.
But as time goes on you're able to consume a little more and aided with the help of Vitamins things start to function properly again
I've lost 2/3 of the volume of my hair and looking forward to the regrowth ... it seem to come out at an alarming rate at first but now the Hair loss has slowed drastically. I wear clip in and i love it ... even after the hair grows back i think i may still where them I love the way they look and i made them myself

Defiantly ... Praying for the very best outcome

nooooo not per say I was a fitness specialist in the USAF for 6 years before I had a terrible accident .... so no i didn't have a personal trainor per say but i did have a dedicated workout out partner who was a firefighter in training, so we really fed off each other's energy... ( I do know from my military experience and in my personal life now... having a dedicated partner who won't take no for any answer, put up with excuses, and hold you accountable... is better than a personal trainer...)
Protein- Right after surgery I could not tolerate whey Protein or dairy so i was on pea Protein ... until 3 months out now I enjoy 2 different shakes I LOVE chocolate OH YEAH Protein shake but think the calorie counts is high but delicious as far as Protein Shakes go ....the other one is vanilla Elite Gourmet the calorie are a bit better plus it has amino acids for muscle recovery and retention which is a plus and it also has calcuim ... usually I use half a scoop of each in about 8oz of Water in a Blender Bottle or the elite gourmet blends and tastes great with bananas, strawberries, and mixed berries.
OK- Struggles so i've had alot going on with me personally ( seperating and divorcing my husband, instantly becoming a single parent of 2 small kids, selling my house in the BUYERS MARKET, and moving me and little ones across the world) in the last 6 months which i think added to my struggles a bit. In the beginning i was a die hard strictly by the book sleever, I struggled for a couple weeks but got back on track i even reach out to the people on the board and the helped me ( found alot of support here on this board ... I would say if you get off track don't give up find your focus and get right back on track... You can do it and your sleeve will aid you every step of the way... Hope this helps message me anytime ( : and BTW FL native and I now reside in ATLANTA GA AND LOVIN IT
Thanks for this! Just want to say you are truly an inspiration, congrats all your success, I also wanted to ask did you get a personal trainer or you just work out alone at the gym? What protein shakes did you try? What has been your biggest struggle throughout this journey? Where are y`ou from? Thanks for takin the time to share your story. -
i exercise for 2 hours 5 days a week most weeks when i do go i kill it and i power walk at my local park and i stick to the less than 40 carbs per day and no more than 600-800 calorines and at least 75-90 grams of Protein and i never ever stretch my pouch i don't wait til i'm extremely full ... don't get me wrong i struggled during the holiday season but was able to get back on track and stay there ... i don't eat any carbs and if i do allows myself rice ( just a small spoon and if bread just a very small piece about the size of a SMALL egg and won't eat the whole thing ... i only eat it for flavor every blue moon with and my meals ... just stay focused and if you mess up just get back on track and quickly as possible ....
