janinemaire got a reaction from LilMissDiva Irene in 6 weeks, doc dissapointed in weight loss
Lolli, i'm losing about the same rate as you, 3-4 pounds a week. I didn't lose for almost three weeks. But I will not feel bad for not losing faster. I spent many years starting a new diet every Monday just to mess up by Friday. This is the first time I stuck to a healthy eating program for 10 weeks and feel I should have no trouble sticking with it. So eventually I will lose all the weight I need to lose and so will you. Don't workout so much that your going to hurt yourself and I would increase my calories.
Hope you feel better and good luck, Janine

janinemaire got a reaction from Ms skinniness in two years since my surgery and need advice
Hello, I haven't been on this site in so long, I loved the support it gave me and probably my first mistake was not logging on. Anyways, I had my surgery 11/10 and am really struggling now. I lost about 90 pounds with 30 pounds to go. I got depressed that I wasn't losing faster and had major issues last year that I just couldn't focus on losing weight. So I feel I wasted a year. I have put on about 7 pounds but still have very good restriction when I eat the right food. I never lost my hunger but I know a few bites of food and I'm full. I am a junk food junky and I don't exercise. Believe me I know what to do but would really appreciate any advice.
Do you think its to late for me to still lose weight with the sleeve? And how would you go about getting back on track?
    Thank you,
    Janine

This is always an interesting topic and always debated. Carbonated drinks bother me, but every once in while I have a diet soda over a lot of ice, and I try to get as much of the bubbles out.

I completely agree, I should wear a t-shirt saying I had the sleeve surgery, I tell so many people. People I've seen but we never spoke would ask how I lost so much weight. They all seem to know someone that should have wls. So far no one has said anything negitive.

There is so much good advice on this board. For me this board alone helps me with stress. Another way is find someone you can talk to even if its not about your stress but just to bs with.

janinemaire got a reaction from kpbrighton in I'm four months out, it's good and bad
As of tomorrow I will be four months out and have lost 42 pounds (53 total). I am happy with what I have lost but I would have liked to have lost more so far. I know what I am doing wrong, I don't really excerise and I have trouble eating 60 grams of Protein but can easily eat 50 or 60 grams of carbs. Getting to 800 calories is difficult without adding extra carbs. I usually only eat good carbs but sometimes I do have a sweet. I still need to lose about 70 lbs more. I'm so happy I had the surgery and I have changed a lot of bad habits but i still have a lot of work to do.
I want to be proud of myself because I have tried for years to lose weight and this is the first time I went past 30 pounds. I'm not asking for any type of sympathy just some feedback.
This forum has been a lifesaver, everyone has there own story, that i really enjoy reading and feel encouraged by. Not to mention how much I have learned from eveyone.
    Thank you, Janine
