I got the BIG ok !!!!!!!!

@50coupe332 yeah, being approved - wonderful!! your new exciting life is right in front of your nose get a jump start pre-op - shakes, watch your portions - many water rules to get used to such as no drinking w/meals and not drinking for 30-45 minutes after you eat😒 (whatever your NUT will tell you) good luck - work hard - you will do great!! kathy
  2. @BlueEyedAngel28 awwww bud you look so cute - absolutely maaaaaarvelous hope you enjoyed your Valentines Day with your sweet honey, or a great party, or both!! curious - how does your tattoo look now after 100 lb loss? great transformation keep up the good work kathy congrats
  3. @pssk hey bud if you are not concerned about missing one night or so, i wouldn't bring the mask. Shouldn't be a prob. i don't wear the mask at all now, hopefully, soon, you won't either. good luck with surgery☺️ speedy recovery kathy

    Food addict

@foodie669 always nice seeing and greeting new peep - welcome-welcome-welcome ok, enough of the "pleasantries" LOL i don't yell/trouble being mean!!, (wellll sometimes at DH) LOL, so i will now give you my short and sweet version of tough love!!😉 EEEEEK, gotta change your negative thoughts!!! As of right now change your attitude- be optimistic/positive that you will be a sucess!! i'm a stranger, and i know you will do great, i have confidence in you - you should feel the same confidence. you shouldn't/can't go into the operating room figuring you are going to fail!! follow all the rules from your NUT, doc - moderations et al - you will do great! its ok to be scared and doubt yourself a "little" worry some about following all the rules, that might help keep you in tow (msp?) watching yourself all the way. read more about the surgery. - read the boards, ask questions - having WLS is a new way of life. You must be diligent with all the rules, you CAN do this!! knowledge is power good luck kathy

    Medical bias post-op

@mousecat88 hey bud OMG - you had quite the busy week!!!/year/life!!!! If it wasn't for bad luck - you'd have no luck at all!! I remember as a newbie you had a lot of problems, had to stay in hospital tooo long,🙁 more problems over the year - now this too!!! - no more no more!! hope things get straightened out sooner than later, and you feel as good as you look love the comment about calling your mom for reinforcements!!!! take care my friend kathy GOAL REACHED - CONGRATS @mousecat88

    Hope this isn't crass

@The New Me(maw) no worries frequent question as with many other questions - the response is "everyone is different" dr. usually says something like, as long as you feel no pain - its ok but - take it easy - no jumps etc til you totally heal😉 good luck newbie kathy

    Just another ONEDERLAND Post!!!

@lyladyp WTG onderland is a lovely place to live new peep to meet, places to go continuation of great life☺️ keep up the terrific job i know you will kathy congrats
  8. @Orchids&Dragons i did the same - it was a great routine!! The cool thing about James response/routine, it had different flavors (no pun) serious , sad ,honest, funny Bill got a few laughs,(prob by thin OP) but he prob got a lot of bad thoughts/remarks/reviews from other "normal" people. Bill hopefully will think twice on his routines about anythings. james covered his assssss, by not totally disrespecting, yelling at Bill Mahar - he said some nice things about Bill too (couldn't think of many) LOL Don't think Bill will be on the hit parade for awhile - or maybe, some OP might want to HIT 😉 thank you James, peep of all sizes salute you!! kathy
  9. @WOLVESFAN1 The providers words might be correct - but I am a firm believer in getting "official/important" things in general in writing. Being successful with the sleeve is great, now at a great weight.☺️ i know many ins. companies cover revisions - you might have to work harder with medicare? and since you are no longer overweight - don't know about the coverage Lots of OP revise from sleeve to another WLS due to reflux - hopefully your situation will work out too good luck bud kathy

    Osteopenia! Really????

@AZhiker I don't think osteoporosis has anything to do with a persons weight or the amount they exercise in my case, it didn't have to do with age either. i inherited osteo.... from my mom (she's so good to me! 😂) - - doc diagnosed me when i was in my 40's. don't tell anyone, but i'm 65 now!!!. good luck bud kathy

    One Year Surgiversary!

@fontjm terrific!!!! lookin' good, no lookin' GREAT!!! age doesn't matter - being a youngun' or slightly older we all look amazing!!!😉 keep up the good work Kathy happy surgiversary
  14. @lingre great news!!! pre-op is challenging at times - you have a long hard road ahead - ups and downs - but wonderful you'll enjoy seeing "less and less" of yourself til you reach GOAL. butttttt, the journey now continues/begins with proper eating/moderation et al for the rest of your life. The ends justifies the means!! you will do grrrrrreat!☺️ good luck kathy

    LADIES ONLY PLEASE!

@Bianca S. 🤣🤣 hang around long enough - you'll realize anything can and will be said on this board!! ie sex... ummm, can't think of anything else right now😉 kathy
  16. @reedkib @sillykitty is "silly", LOL, but correct - you don't lose the weight in the order that you want "they" say that the last place you gained/showed inches first (ie - tummy) - that is the place you will lose inches from first - so if tummy inches accumulated last, it "should"/might come off first. (butttt remember we all react differently.) That being said, Sit ups, crunches, and squats are great too in general!!☺️ good luck kathy

    Entering a new weight decade

@MassMom life is not only good right now - its marrrrrrvelous☺️ you've lost over 100 lbs - i'm sure you are feeling healthier and happier keep up the great job - i know you will!! kathy congrats
  18. @lingre i have seen/heard from OP the same fear some OP might have lost weight, way below the required BMI - w/no co-morbities more often, i've seen OP scared because they gained a lot of weight- showing non-compliance with their eating pre-op After saying the above, watch your eating, don't worry too much, (gives you wrinkles!!) doc might say you have to lose more weight before WLS, BUT i don't think insurance can be taken away after it was approved good luck kathy

    Unanticipated NSV

@ummyasmin such a great NSV!! you must be thrilled!!☺️ I thought/hoped my bi monthly blood draws would be easier once i lost weight unfortunately, i'm told my stupid veins are deep, and they "roll" Therefore, i'll watch you, and be happy for your well deserved NSV. kathy congrats
  20. @frust8 hey bud some OP AND myself "sometimes" find your lllllong posts exasperating !!!! (especially cuz you never space - causing one long paragraph!!! EEEK) buttttt, at the end of the day, we all are who we are - and your fine with me!!😎 i remember/know you worked very hard with drs./ins. - dealing with denials - you didn't/wouldn't give up - you kept pushing for WLS and you were finally approved!!!! PO you went through many physical prob PO - stents et al. You came out the other side healthy, smiling and a winner!!! This morning i weighed 137.4 lbs - i can't visualize the loss of 150+ lbs!! keep up the good work for the rest of your "LONGER, healthier, life"☺️ kathy Happy Surgiversary Congrats
  21. @RNY 2ND RODEO I see you are 1/2 the body - buy you are twice the person!!! Sad we are seeing "less and less" of you - that's how the cookie crumbles!! Ride 'em cowboy!!😉 keep up the great job you are aces kathy congrats
  22. @SeattleLady I agree that health insurance is terrible - we pay a lot of money for what? "kind of" like car insurance?? - pay a lot, one accident you are cancelled!! i've enjoyed reading your "tale of 2 cities" / tummies😂 your determination - getting approved - woo hoo excitement is a great emotion felt by most OP - i can only your imagine not knowing what and when things are happening - makes you upset/mad and a little crazy all at the same time - frustration about the "whats and when" of your revision. hopefully you will find out the "plan" soon, and things will go forward good luck kathy God Grant Me Patience, Just Hurry Up About It!!
  23. @Mikeyy Short and sweet answer to your question is YES i was never an exercise person. (the real "down and dirty" stuff) I do walk - which definitely counts, and is good for you i did a total 180 with my food/drink/moderation etc All the things i learned in the Bariatric Bible☺️ i lost 105 lbs GOAL - 7+ years later, i fluctuate 5-7 lbs. good luck kathy @AZhiker - you are the bomb - your post says it all.☺️ who loves ya baby!!! kathy

    Soup question

@Starflower This was one of my "early on" questions for my NUT. i luvvvvv cereal!! (high in carbs, i know!)🤔 When she explained that i shouldn't/can't ever eat/drink at same time... she answered to cereal, i could use a littttle bit of milk on top of the cereal, not much. Still too dry for me. As the months progressed, i did use more milk - oh well - slap me if you dare!!🤣 good luck kathy
  25. @mi75 hey bud you will continue to do great these next 5 years, and 5 years, and...... etc. etc etc we all have ups and downs, some weight regain - but you are in the process of nipping it in the bud!!! good for you☺️ take care, good luck kathy
