1 Week Post-Op Energy Level?
ProudGrammy replied to rivergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
rivergirl you will see/hear on the board the common phrase.............. "the one thing we all have in common is that we are all different"!!!!! some people are up and around and feeling great almost immediately!!! surgery on Friday, work on Monday all went fine with my surgery/recovery, but.............. i was not ready to do jumping jacks in a week - nor would i want to cook a big meal!!!! i know you are very important - but they can "try" and do for themselves and as "they" say.............. "let em eat cake" !!!!! LOL good wishes with surgery speedy recovery kathy -

Surgery Canceled (Or Hopefully Just Postponed)
ProudGrammy replied to ih8fat's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh no!!!! i agree that you need to be pro-active and constantly talk with the docs office about your concern/problem with the insurance company since the surgery had to be post-poned "please help me have the surgery before December 1rst" explain the situation with your hubby and insurance et al and yes, be very firm!!!! (but sweet/nice too) I'm so sorry this happened, especially days before planned WLS hopefully things will work out don't kick yourself being all upset and starting to binge. that won't help you will eventually have the WLS - and the less you weigh DOS - the better crossing my fingers and toes too good wishes & thoughts being sent your way kathy -

This Probably Sounds Silly But...
ProudGrammy replied to Mel1071's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
In my case i never thought about how i would look i just wanted to lower my weight, slowly but steadily it also "crept" on me, the weight loss and change in my appearance i was over concentrating on the scale, didn't really look at myself one day i got out of the shower and stared in the mirror i knew it was me - but boy oh boy the first thing i noticed, i turned around and realized my rear end was GONE don't worry or think too much about what you will look like as time passes just enjoy the ride good luck next month kathy -
Has Anyone Gained 2 1/2 Pounds In One Day?
ProudGrammy replied to KristinaA's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
many OP on the board say their frustration about gaining any weight no rhyme or reason that happens Water weight - time of month - maybe a mood change this is the place to vent!!!! 45 lbs in 4 months is good!!!! i have heard that if you lose 10 lbs in a month, thats great you are eating so few calories that you can't help but lose sometimes "shaking" up your eating can help you to lose even adding a 100 or so calories can break things up keep up the good job kathy -
Hi Joe tomorrow being veterans day - shouts outs to all the special people that have served our country during lifes awful times is appropriate vets sometimes get forgetten after their time of service but...............i think the Veteran's board here refers to the "vets" as people who have been on the board for a long periiod of time all vets evvvverywhere are welcome and great Kathy
