Rosie O’Donnell Makes Hurtful Comments About the Lap-Band on “The View”
ProudGrammy replied to Alex Brecher's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Magazine
no debate here which WLS is better i had the sleeve and i'm very happy these past 2.5 years that being said...... any WLS people choose for themselves is great lap band, gastric bypass or sleeve or whatever else i do watch the view and i do like Rosie but...........when she made those remarks about the band, my mouth dropped in disbelief!! that was an irrresponsible, outrageous thing to say its one thing for people to "disagree" other WLS (which they shouldn't do) but the way she said it was awful, very disrespectful etc etc regardless of any apology that "might" be said on the View - the damage has been done Rosie screwed up 10 whips with a wet noodle!!!! kathy -

Drinking after sleeve
ProudGrammy replied to auntiemel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
drinking has no restriction? wish gas pains would go away. @@auntiemel i had no restriction with Water - i could drink easily too liquids do not give any restriction great you don't have any problems drinking its very important now and always to drink, drink and drink some more for your early stage you should be sipping vvvvery slowly as you progress your daily intake should be at least 64 oz the more you drink the better once you start soft foods - then solids regular foods - you will feel that great restriction at 3 days PO, many people still suffer with gas walk as much as you can around the house this will help get rid of the nasty gas feeling good luck continued speedy recvovery kathy -

Pre-op diet...... Destroyed!
ProudGrammy replied to waitingtoexhale's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@waitingtoexhale i'm not gonna tell you "there, there, you'll be fine" "No Self Control!! " SNAP OUT OF IT sounds like you were given an easier pre-op than many i can only imagine your disappointment in yourself since you messed up you might even be uncontiously sabatoging yourself in fear of the WLS (no shrink here, just a thought) unfortunately many people DO screw up their preop but that doesn't give you a free pass to mess up too not best analogy but........... kindof like "Joe" robbed a store!!!! So its ok for you to do so no way - you and "Joe" are both wrong you each got a suspended sentence, and you each turned out to do great in life (hope that came off right??) many people 2nd guess there initial thoughts of WLS that is ok your serious thoughts/doubts might bring you to the realization what a serious step you are taking (no shrink here, just a thought) if everyone who had 2nd thoughts or extreme concerns pre WLS didn't go through surgery - we wouldn't have much of a forum here get your head/mind together you made the wise decision to have surgery don't over second guess yourself now!!!! you want and need this surgery you have a great opportunity coming your way on Friday - don't blow it remind yourself why you want to lose weight, have the WLS be prepared you MUST follow all the rules associated with your surgery for the rest of your life maybe telling your fears/spilling your guts might "shake you to your senses" hope it did help cuz you did say a "mouthful" hype yourself these next couple of days keep telling yourself you can do this!!! prepare yourself with your shakes be sure you are all ready when you come home to start your new wonderful life hope i don't sound like a "meany" - cuz i really am a great person best of luck on friday speedy recovery kathy -
