@@jessiquoi mom could be critical, tell me to just eat proper and exercise - all the stuff i've heard before mom always "reminded" me about my weight when i told her about the WLS, she almost did cartwheels she was so happy at the prospect of her FAT daughter maybe loosing lots of weight not in a good way in my opinion wasn't concerned for me about any possible pre or post op problems with surgery just happy for her, not having to deal with an "overweight" daughter always felt she was embarrased (msp) by me (4 siblings good weight, very active) agree with OP's comment i love my mom - i just don't always like her right now i am sad/tearing - thinking about my past/future with mom don't worry about me - i am in therapy dealing with food issues and MOM "issues" thank you my friends for llistening to my sadness/and rant kathy

    It's getting real!

@@MarkX wonderful decision to have WLS I'm biased - but i think the sleeve is the greatest consult on thursday!!! prepare a list of questions to ask the doc its ok to ask him how many sleeve surgeries he's done how many people are alive to talk about them!! i'm sure you've done your research on the sleeve but ask doc to explain the procedure to you so you get it from the horses mouth he might say things you hadn't thought about recovery time how long will you stay in hospital i've heard of some people staying anywhere from one to 3 nights (some even longer) i stayed in hospital over night pain/meds meds you can take post op you'll hear on the board many people saying "the one thing in common that we all have is that we're all different" we're here to support you and everyone do you have a NUT (nutritionalist) her directions will vary from from other peoples NUTS verify from nut about your stages of eating time periods between each stage Protein shakes pureed food mushy food soft foods solid foods ask about measurements maybe take notes - but sometimes they hand out a pamphlet other questions that i can't think of (having a senior moment ) others hopefully will chime in ask your questions on the board about peoples experiences, hear/listen to answers we are all very smart - but we are layman - ask doc/nut medical questions but at the end of the day ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS follow directions of your nut & doc you are just starting on the road to a healthier, happier, longer life ENJOY the ride have "fun" at your consultation good luck through the process stuff to do before approval jumping through all the required hoops of insurance finally getting approval and then a surgery date and then.... kathy

    Has anybody ever experienced this?

@@madwife2002 I agree with @@JamieLogical doesn't seem like this bending over situation could have been caused by the sleeve many problems can be do to the sleeve (or any WLS) - but not everything it was a good idea to ease your mind, and call your doc attempted analogy all my life my mother blamed any and all problems that i had on my being overweight many situations were caused by me being heavy - knees & back hurting et al but not all bad things happened because i was heavy if i got a paper cut or anything - mom would probably think it was because of my weight if i have a bad hair day - i don't thing my sleeve had anything to do with it 78 lb weight loss you are aces feel better soon kathy
