ProudGrammy replied to GreenEyes604's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@GreenEyes604 pre-op/post op losing 67 lbs is great as far as the stall goes most of us get them telling you that, doesn't help you though they can last anywhere from one week, one month, or more i am soooo very sorry you are having a rough time is the cramping recent - week or so?? cramps, having to hold your tummy is no fun i don't know if its ok to use a heating pad??on your new little tummy? not sure not sure about that "bad" stuff you are referring to? when you eat that, is your tummy ok?? make sure you are always taking small bites eat very slowly chewing thoroughly into mush (yeach) after each bite, put utensil down for a couple of minutes before you start to eat again try to push the fluids - sip verrrry slowly I agree you should call/see the doc he is the one that knows you you know you'll hear alot of good advice, suggestions, experiences on this board, but........... at the end of the day ALWAYS ONLY listen to your surgeon/NUT (or me) feel better good luck kathy -

Difficulty with protein
ProudGrammy replied to graceday32001's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@graceday32001 since you didn't mention otherwise...... besides the protein issue, is everything else going well?? gas, bathroom "issues", tiredness? are you having problems getting Water in? are you able to sip without a problem? room temperature water is always a suggestion to be more successful with your drinking many people use crystal lite bottom line is, drinking (as much as possible) water is more important than protein at this early stage of the game necessity of protein is also there, but again water is much more important!!! iwhen people don't drinkenough water they frequently get dehydrated (me at 6 weeks ) i became dehyrated on Valentines Day so i'll never forget the date then they have to go to hospital have IV's to get hydrated spend the night thats great you are eating yogurt is great way to get protein in i eat Fage 0% greek plain yogurt 20 gr of protein yum, yum, yum speaking for myself and some others......... Protein shakes??? blahhh, yech but continue to try and drink them shakes should be given to kids as punishment as suggested by @@Elizabeth21 add unflavored Protein powder to "whatever" i know you will progress with your protein issue i have plenty of confidence in you I see a healthier, happier, longer life in your future good luck bud kathy -
