This is only my opinion, but it's important for us sleevers to take a step back and prioritize when it comes to eating and making accommodations for others that would somehow jeopardize our sleeves and success this early in the game. You are not even two weeks out from surgery! Take care of you and your sleeve...if Mr. Wonderful is so wonderful, he will be patient and understand that this should not even be a discussion at this time.
I have friends and family who think that everything can be the same as pre-op, and I have to remind them that I practically had my stomach removed and traditions and patterns are forever changed.

I just have to say, this is ridiculous! I see answers to questions like this one and it makes me really angry and disappointed. It is a simple question that does NOT ask for judgement like so many are dishing out. Sometimes we want a certain food- we are human! All I want right now is a pickle. It has no nutritional value but I don't care! If I could have 2 pickles right now, I would eat them, for breakfast! Not every day, just today- just right now!
Anyway, to answer your question, I am 3.5 weeks since surgery and my surgeon and dietician cleared me for "tacos" made with mini tortilla chips. Just make sure you chew chew chew!!!

I may get flamed, but whatever. I don't think there's anything wrong with eating a few Doritos now and then, if you can handle. Big IF.
The idea that you can't have anything bad ever again is unrealistic. I was craving a cheeseburger. Had a few bites of one last week, haven't thought about it since. Until now...mmm...cheeseburger...
But, I digress. Wait at least a few months before trying anything sharp like a Dorito.
    Good luck.

Yes. First few weeks I instantly regretted my decision because I mourned food. 6 mod post op, best thing I've ever done. You're giving yourself the opportunity of a whole new life. Embrace it!

Swimming is amazing exercise! It will get you shredded. They don't call it a "swimmer's build" for nothing!
And if reading were cardio activity maybe this country would be more literate.

I don't think she intended to be snotty at all...just trying to soften your comments that may have been interpreted as rude and sarcastic. Intention and tone do not always translate well in text. Perhaps you didn't mean it the way it came across, but you don't need to escalate negativity in your response. We are here to support each other not fight with one another.

I have been staying around 800 - 1000 calories, 100g carbs, 22-35g fat, 100g Protein, 30-60g sugars and about 150g cholesterol, and at least 80-90 oz of Water or tea. I still average about 10 to 25lbs weights loss and about 7 to 10 inches a month.
I have set these goals up in myfitnesspal.com in order to keep track of them, and I can use it on my phone when out.

It gets MUCH better. Now that I can eat food again, I don't think about food much, other than planning what I eat to make sure I get all my Protein in. The first month is really hard with the first two weeks being the hardest because you pretty much on liquid. Hang in there! The suggestion to do something nice for yourself is a great one! Getting a pedicure, buying a cute top that you couldn't fit in before, even just taking a little ME time to read a book are great ways to reward yourself for your hard work. In the meantime, we are all here for support!

I went through the mourning period as well - I think everybody does. Wouldn't it be nice to go out and have a big juicy steak with a baked potato and all the fixings? Well - you can still do that, just maybe it will be 3 or 4 meals instead of one. I look at this as moderation. I'm not a big sweet eater or a snacker so it probably was easier for me. Trust me, it will get easier. Let yourself mourn for a while, it helps.
