Surgery June 8th SO EXCITED I can't wait to start my new journey on life-My hisband is such a sweetie he is so supportive. I am out of town on business this week - Hopefully the liquid diet will not be too much of a struggle - but it will be worth it! Talked to my Doctors office today now they want a copy of a stress test I had about 3 years ago~! I hope this will not be another obstacle to my surgery date. TOO MANY ISSUES! I have been seeing my GP for my blood pressure which has finally gone down and see him again Monday before surgery that should help alleive any issues Dr Wright may have. I want to get this done. Went to TRUE RESULTS first time Jan 21st was told all is good insurance will pay and this is what we need to do for the next 3 months to get your band. I kept asking the office manager "are you sure my company will pay-- i was told they had an exclusion for weight loss surgery" oh yes yes it is covered -So proceded with all Nutritionalist, Psych eval, Chest X ray- labs evrythign go for my vist 4/22 expecting to have a surgery date set BUT NOOOOOO Now insurance has changed their 3 months process to a 6 month process so scheduled visit for 5/26. In the meantime TRUE RESULTS sent in my file for pre-determionation of benefits and I c ontacted my insurance company to ask "why do I have to waiut 6 months because I purchased the policy in Dec with a 3 month process blah blah....... and was told WELL MS MOLLENHAUER THIS PROCEDURE IS EXCLUDED ANYWAY!!! Well went back and forth with TRUE RESULTS my HR department and BCBS and YEP NOT COVERED~~~ Well my husband being the generous and understanding sweetie that he is said well if this is what you want we will just pay for it! SO here I am ready to go so all keep your fingers crossed that this stress test thing will not cause any more delays!!

So I am now 12 days into my journey and I've been extremely proud of myself on the workout portion. I've now graduated to walking on the treadmill doing speed walking intervals, with inclines that includes backwards walking intervals at a pace between 3-3.7mph for one hour (sometimes even twice per day)!!

BUT like I said that part is ALWAYS easy for me, food is my issue. Not snacks...I've never been the type to eat all day or raid the fridge in the midnight hour, but I love good meals! I like going out to eat at nice restaurants (and there are hundreds to choose from in the Big D); and my partner prepares fabulous cuisines!

I've been doing pretty good at my liquid diet, and in two days I'll be allowed to graduate to mushies...but today it came a little early. After I worked out at the gym, I drank my lil 42g protein shot and I came home and didn't eat, because I was satisfied from the protein shot for a couple of hours. So we prepared Memorial Day Dinner that consisted of grilled hotdogs, ribeye steaks, chicken, potato salad, and baked beans. I actually ate about a 1/2 cup of baked beans combined with the potato salad and chewed it to a liquid state.

Should I feel bad? Because I don't, it was the only thing I had eaten all day and it probably totaled less than 200 calories. It was delicious! It felt so good to actually chew, and I was satisfied with my baby portion. OH yeah I also had a glass of my Skinny Girl Margarita! Don't feel bad about that either! I didn't have to deprive myself, I was satisfied with very little, and I didn't have any problems with digesting it. This made for a great day!

I'm losing, my clothes fit differently already, and I feel great...except for the occasional port pain that I feel!

Hope everyone had a fabulous Holiday, I did
