    where are the heavyweights?

Hiya! I started at 310 with a goal weight of 160 so that's 150 lbs to lose. I feel the same way, a lot of people have a lot less to lose. Someone who started around my time has lost about as much as me but they are close to goal now. Nothing against her or anyone else who is a lighterweight than me but yes it does feel like it's really different! I'm here if you wanna chat about anything!

    What are you all drinking?

I like Premier Protein! The chocolate flavor is available at Costco, both chocolate and vanilla are available on their website. I have not tried the vanilla so don't know how it is. measuring my protien....is this right?

As a VSG'er we should measure our food by volume, not weight. All different foods are different weights and densities. 2 oz of chicken is less than 2 oz popcorn, for example. When they say eat 2 oz, they mean volume. As in, can fit it into 2 1-oz shot glasses. :frown1:

    If given the choice younger

I AM in my 20's! :frown1: I'm 27 and had the VSG almost 3 months ago. Best thing I have ever done for myself. Wish I had done WLS when I first thought about it age 20, simply because I could have avoided some of the health problems that came along in the past several years. But on the other hand, I would have done the band back then so glad I didn't. VSG it da bomb!

    what's the deal?? I'm hungry!

I haven't read all the replies so forgive me if I am repeating... every post op diet is different but at least for hubby and I, we are supposed to eat every 2-3 hours and we get hungry that often so that doesn't sound wrong at all to me.

    I've NEVER blogged before!

Welcome to the world of blogging! I have been a weight loss blogger for going on 10 years. Needless to say it was time for REAL, lasting weight loss.... thank you VSG!! For the weight at which you started, your loss is going at a very good weight!! It is slower when you weigh less. I've done 60 lbs in 11 weeks but I started at 310 lbs so that's why! I liked your post very much and I hope you keep blogging! If you are interested my VSG blog is here: Health and Happiness

    Plantar Fascaitis?

It does sound like plantar fasciitis. The best treatment is to go to a podiatrist and have orthotics made for your shoes. It takes a few weeks to get used to but then it really really helps. Now that Ive had them for over a year my pain is so much better and I can wear sandals without the orthotics way more of the time now. I know just how painful this can be - it used to stop me from so much!!! Get to a podiatrist... it is so worth it.

    helium... don't do it!!!

Huh... I had 6 get well balloons from surgery and when they were getting flat I sucked out helium and sang songs while my husband videotaped me... LOL.... I sucked a good 4 balloons full and I was ok. Then again nothing has bothered my tummy since surgery other than trying to take big vitamin pills. We are all so different in how these things affect us!!
