    Everyday eating

There's nothing I "can't" eat. I don't like spicy, but then I never did. I eat some bread in small quantities. I avoid a lot of carbs like breads, mashed potatoes, rice, etc.. not because I "can't" eat them, but they feel heavier in my stomach and I just don't think the taste is all that appealing anymore. They seem bland. No food has ever upset my stomach! That's been such a blessing to me.

    Hunger

I still have hunger! But like you said it doesn't take much to get full. So it doesn't bother me. I'm not hungry 24/7... but I get hungry every 2-3 hours when I am supposed to eat... I eat a little, I'm full, and the cycle goes on. I am fine with it as long as I'm hungry when I'm supposed to be (and not all the time), and my small portions fill me up. At least it makes it easier to remember when I'm supposed to eat

    1 year/80-100 lbs lost-Heat

For me by about 35 lbs lost I had way more heat tolerance. Ever since then I am cold even in 70 degrees. When it's 85-90 degrees, I find it only slightly uncomfortable, and sometimes not bad at all.

    Birth Control After WLS?

Hi! I went back on the pill at 6 weeks post op. My surgeon told me to wait that long so as not to risk blood clots. I had NO problems swallowing the tiny little pill, even though bigger pills would make me feel sick. I had to be careful not to have too big a swig of water at that point so that it wouldn't hurt but that was about it. I don't know if it's because of going off the pill prior to surgery and staying off it, but I also didn't have a period at ALL til about 8-10 weeks post op. Had one regular cycle and now on my 2nd cycle it is lasting foreeeeeeever. It's been like 5 weeks. Annoying. Hope I get re-accustomed to the pill soon!

    I'm losing, she is stalled

Everybody is so different. That's the one challenge to doing this as a couple - you have your partner to compare to. On our side it's the opposite - I'm losing faster than my husband. He isn't doing anything wrong that we can see... he exercises less than I do... but his inches seem to be changing more. Tell her to ask herself, when's the last time she was able to lose 32 lbs in 8 weeks? How happy would she be about that, if she weren't comparing herself to you? Hang in there and it will get better!! As for stalling, when I stalled around by 8 week point, I added in a protein drink every morning and that really helped me.

Do we need a B12 supplement?

Exactly... take a sublingual B12 daily. This means you let it melt under your tongue.

    Stalling so soon????

Everyone goes through stalls at different times - your body's gotta do what it's gotta do - so try not to worry! Just keep doing your thing! As far as the small chili.... I hate to tell you this but I can't finish it at 4 months post-op. I wouldn't be concerned though - I think the answer to that is that you are taking 30 mins to finish it. I was told to finish my meals by 15 mins max. If you wait longer, you begin to digest, and therefore can fit more in. Try stopping at 15 mins. It's ok to get hungry more often, I eat every 2-3 hours, 5-6 times a day usually, and that's what my surgeon recommended. I don't know if any of this helps, just thought I'd throw it out there!

    Few days out

The restlessness is good because moving around as much as possible will help you feel better faster. By a week a felt pretty good and by 2 weeks I pretty much forgot I had surgery. You will get there!

  23. Thank you!! Yes I have been losing quite a bit of hair, but not an extreme amount. I use Ovation which seems to help it break less and stay looking a little thicker.
