Hi all! Right now, I'm in the mist of beginning my journey. So far, I have been to a seminar and then had my first visit with my surgeon yesterday (5/11/11). Now, I'm waiting to see what the insurance will cover and if any hoops to jump through to get this done. My doc seems to think that I will be approved due to the fact that my BMI is 46.9 and also, back, hip, and knee problems plus elevated blood pressure, sugar levels, and high cholestroyl. So we'll see! I'm so ready to get started on losing this weight. I'm scared to death of the surgery but I'm scared not to do it too. I'm tired of letting life pass me by and hiding from the world. I love this forum! I love that we all have something...or a few things incommon. It's so nice to be able to really talk about this with others that are going through or have already been through the same thing that I'm facing. God bless you all!
