  1. I had my surgery in April 2010. I weighed 581 the day of the surgery, and weighed in at 310 this morning. I was wearing a size 72, and just bought a size 48. The key is steady, and don't let a flat weight or a pound gain freak you out. Just keep it going, and it will work if you keep your mind on track. Have some fun, cheat once in awhile, and you will do good.I also work as a food buyer in a major retailer, so food samples are around 24/7. So if I can do it, anybody can!

Is 3 pounds a week reasonable?

Deidre, 3 a week is absolutely reasonable. I lost 3 a week for my entire first year, which just passed a couple weeks ago. That was with minimal excercise, so you should easily make it. Good luck!
  7. Dr. Guske did my surgery on April 27th 2010. I have lost 149 pounds in my first year, and have had zero complications. He has been absolutely phenominal, as his whole group is. I actually had started my initial consultation with a different surgeon, but he could not do it. I had a good friend who used him as well, so I was able to have Dr. Guske do the surgery. I thank god everyday for him. He is a great person and genuine. He cares about what he does. I asked him what it feels like to change peoples lives, and the smile on his face told me how he truly enjoys what he does and that it gives him a great feeling. I could not reccmmend him any higher

    Single Bandsters

I think it would be fantastic to find someone who had such a major thing to start a relationship with. It would open up so many things, and eliminate so many potential issues as well.
