Well whoever thought up the "Seven Deadly Sins" needs a spanking. Gluttony has really given centuries of people a "good and moral" reason to act like assholes to others who are fat. I personally think that being fat has made me more compassionate and caring...I don't judge others by how they look quite as much.... except perhaps myself at times... Who is that girl in the photograph? For the first time in a long time, I look in the mirror, and recognize myself. The weight that has lifted off my shoulders gives me the physical and mental strength to face my sadness and fear again, with more maturity and compassion for myself and others. I think there is a huge story here, on this forum. A story that is stronger and ultimately more elegant and true than the stereotype of the fat lady at Wallmart who can't keep her pants on because she is stupid, ugly and FAT. The stories on this forum are honest, funny, intelligent , personal and refreshing. They are the stories of the heroic... who have lived to return home with treasure. Your company allows me to tell the truth, without feeling guilty or afraid of ridicule. Thanks CW and thank you all.

Computers and ex husbands. Good luck with that. I am addicted to my computer, and maybe just a little to my ex husband as well. I don't want ether one of them to die... but I think it would be harder if my computer were to "go" of the two. I feel kind of evil thinking that....

I tried the prunes... kind of watery, but not horrible by any means. With yogurt? Probably would be pretty good. I found some "green bean casserole" baby food. Don't bother. It was green.... thats about how far the resemblance went.

I have been very lucky with my family so far. It sound like she might be insecure about her identity. If she is not the slim sister any more, then who is she? Are you close? Explain that you are sure she wants you to have a long and happy and healthy life, and this is the tool you need to get that. Ask her to support you or at least say nothing if she can't be supportive. Its time to start a new relationship with her that changes those old dynamics. What is her reason for being against your surgery? Has she said? I have a good friend who was a little aginst it... but after talking to her, and sharing my hopes and dreams, she came around and supported me. If your sister is mature enough, and loves you, she will do the same too.

In California, GNCs are located inside Rite Aid stores, that are all over the place. They have ready to drink and powder you can add to milk or Water. You can even get milk at RiteAid stores. Also you might look up Vitamin shoppe. They also have many choices and can be found in many malls.
    Have fun at the Oscars!
Put your hotel address here and find out the closest location.

feedyoureye got a reaction from LilMissDiva Irene in I'm afraid I might be at that 3 week stall
Relax girlfriend! I was sleeved two days before you and starting weight quite a bit more (247) and right in line with your loss. I think we are doing great! Just let the sleeve do the work, stick to the plan and it will keep coming off. I have had some stall time too, 5 days at one weight, lost a pound and on two days at the next weight... If I was weighing every two weeks I'm sure I would never notice I was in a stall ... I have been measuring now and then too, and have continued to lose inches... have you done this? I have decided to Celebrate the three week stall! It just shows we are on the same path as all these nice folks that are losing a bunch of weight with the sleeve.
PS my starting weight was two days before surgery, when I started a liquid diet for two days, so really I probably lost about the same as you...

feedyoureye got a reaction from renniemommie in 64 oz water, really?
So the question is... if we get much of our needed Water from the foods we eat, and we start eating MUCH less food, and Protein at that...We would probably need to drink more water (or water containing drinks) to make up what we don't get in our food now? So how much water did we used to get from our food consumption. I know I used to make Soup allot, and eats TONS of veggies that I wont be able to get in with the sleeve... so perhaps the 64os is pretty close to what I need to supplement with. I know I like water, but seldom drank 64 ozs a day unless it was damn hot and dry.

I've been belly dancing for 2 1/2 years twice a week. Im lucky my gym has a great teacher available included in my membership price. I love it so much! I like you am not "sporty". I always say, what other exercise can you do where you get to ware jewelry, go barefoot and listen to awesome sexy music? The girls in the class are really nice and we are a little team now. We actually did a public performance last summer! I partly did this surgery for the class... I knew my knees were getting worn out and I want to be able to belly dance much longer! The fitness I have achieved in class let me hike up to two glaciers in New Zealand a month ago... My body shape is so different from class... I have more "shake with those fries" and cant wait to get back to it after my 6 weeks recovery. I will probably do some drills, but I don't want to overdo it. The core will have to go without exercise for a few more weeks...walk walk walk. Have fun gals!

Oh my gosh! That is funny, stupid and such a silly thing to say all at the same time!
She really didn't know how to make much sense of her feelings and thoughts very well did she?
I think you need to make a card for her with a giant head collaged onto a skinny body...then write on it:
"After beautiful Coops lost her amazing amount of weight, she got a REALLY big head bout it. From then on, no one that saw her would dare and lose an ounce for fear of developing massive head syndrome"
Send it on over to her for a laugh.
I'm sorry, I'm just as silly as her, bur Really!

feedyoureye got a reaction from coops in The good thing about being a slow loser
Until now i have skipped over this post because I don't get my sleeve for two weeks... then I read it today and it is so ME in the past. I bet it will be me on the sleeve too. Last time I belonged to WW I lost 20 lbs... in two years! I too lose super slowly on diets and then stall out for weeks... and quit. The up side is I seem to gain it all back slowly when I lose it slowly. The times I was on kooky fasts and unsustainable sh*t like that, and lost weight fast, I gained it back fast too.
I am a volume eater, so I hope the sleeve will help me to stay on track that way.
I have never had problems with my skin when losing weight fast, I am older now so who knows, but I hope this is an upside to losing slowly.
Another upside to losing slowly? You gals are great, and we have found each other here because we are s-l-o-w losers!

Hello! Perhaps you should gain 50 more pounds and then lose them and THEN you won't be a loser? ... Everyone has their number, and yours was lower than some, and your LUCKY because of that, not a loser because of that. You deserve to have health and happiness as much as the next guy/gal on this forum, and eating candy this weekend or being a 'lightweight' does not void that. Enjoy that candy, bag it up for grandma and give her a big kiss when you drop it off. I can't wait till I'm as close to goal as you are!

feedyoureye got a reaction from LilMissDiva Irene in My husband is not totally for this
Would he get heart surgery if he needed it? Or would he worry that he was circumventing "God's natural chest pain plan"? Really, you don't need to feel guilty for this decision. Perhaps he needs a talk with your surgeon to get a less ignorant view. This is not an insult to your husband, many thin people just dont understand because its not their experience.
