On Friday, January 28, I was given an incredible gift by by someone I hold very near and dear to my heart and that was the gift of WLS. I initially had been wanting the Lap-Band but after meeting with my surgeon on Friday, February 4, I decided to have the VSG. I came upon this forum that night and have found it to be very helpful.

I thought the process was going to be quite long but since I am paying cash, the process was put into hyperspeed and it has been scheduled two weeks from tomorrow on February 22. Crazy fast.

I am EXCITED and can hardly stand the wait.

I am 37 years old, married, and have a 17 year old son. I have been overweight my entire life. Starting from 1st grade, I was always the biggest girl in class. 40 is knocking at my door and I am ready to face this weight challenge in the ring head on. I've been asking myself "ARE YOU READY TO RUUUUMMMMMBLE?". My answer? Yes, yes I am.
