  1. WOW! I am about to cry. It is been several months since I checked-in on this site. I will celebrate my 1 year surgerversary on Nov. 30. I have lost 93 pounds and feel awesome. I think I'm emotional because this forum played a major role in my decision to have the sleeve andmy success. To those just starting out, be encouraged. It gets easier. This was the BEST decision I ever made in my life.

  2. Yesterday was my 6 month surgerversary! To say I am pleased with my sleeve was an understatement. I'm grateful to have lost 78 pounds and I feel awesome! This site has been such a blessing. Thanks for all the support and encouragement!

  4. Logged in and read a lot of posts from discouraged Sleevers. Listen: this is a lifetime journey. Don't get depressed over a stall or even if you gain a pound or two. There was a time when we would've gained 20 pounds by now! Don't be so hard on yourself. Re-evaluate what your doing or NOT doing and adjust. Go see your doctor, call your nutritionist, increase your workouts, BUT DON'T GIVE UP and surely don't hang your head! YOU ARE A SURVIVOR!

  5. I am 6 pounds away from ONEderland and it feels WONDERFUL!

  6. Congrats on your upcoming surgery!Keep in touch, especially since we are in the same city. Feel free to call me with any questions. I am 6 months out and 75 pounds down!

  7. Celebrating Progress. Today I am 3 months and 22 days post-op. I have lost a total of 67 pounds and dropped from a size 24 to an 18. This has been the best decision of my life! Everyday is not easy, but everyday is worth it! Be encouraged. The best is yet to come.

  8. Accomplished one thing on my post-surgery bucket list today! I took pictures with my husband and two sons (6 & 7). Thi is a BIG deal because I refused to take family photos prior to losing weight. These are the first family photos we have ever taken. They look awesome. Can't wait to share. Proud to be down from 281 to 225 in 3 months. Let's keep supporting one another. God bless!

  9. 53 pounds gone FOREVER! It's been 2 months and 23 days of this new life. I am happy to report that I am taking it one day at a time and refuse to obsess over how much I lose or gain on a daily basis. I am in this for the long haul! Had my first shopping spree this past weekend. It was awesome to be down 4 sizes!

  10. 40 pounds down in 6 weeks and I refuse to buy new clothes. Thank God my mom is a shopaholic (and very excited for me)! She has bought me something new every week! I love my mommy!

  11. I think today has been my BEST post sleeve day to date! 5 and half weeks post-op and feeling good. Losing 37 pounds is not too shabby either!

  12. Just had sleeve 6 weeks ago. This is a great place to ask questions! Feel free to contact me.

  15. I am now 4 weeks Post-Op and this is the first week I have been able to really eat! I feel so much better. Hang in there new sleevers. Each day brings new strength and determination. Be Blessed!

  16. My first Christmas with the Sleeve. Let's just say holiday food is now overrated. I was only able to eat about 3 bites and it was over! Man I use throw down. The NewNatalie is really here ...

  17. The best gift you could give me is to accept Jesus as your personal savior! SALVATION IS FREE! No coupons, BOGO sales, or even long lines. He is open 24 hours a day and despite the millions of people who call upon Him, He still manages to have time to deal with what concerns you! You've tried everything else. This Christmas, receive the greatest gift of all ... JESUS CHRIST!

  19. It seems like I've been sleeved for months, but today is only my 3 week surgerversary. There have been some tough days, but can truly say it's getting easier. To those who recently had surgery, hang in there! The toughest part is definitley the first 3 weeks. I am 25 pounds down and ppl are starting to notice the change! I thank God for keeping me spiritually, emotionally, and physically. AMEN.

  20. Today is my 2 week surgerversary! I am happy to report all is well. I am 22 pounds down! I don't think I'm eating enough. Doc said I can have mushies and even wants me to try fish and chicken. Scrambeled eggs were not my friend on Sunday. They came back to visit. I may never eat scrambeled eggs again!

  21. Today is my 1 week surgerversary! I have lost 17 pounds and feeling great. I hate the liquids, but love the weight loss. Bring on the mushy foods plz!

  22. OMG! I have underestimated the art of passing gas! I never thought I would pray to fart! I am day 4 post-op and the gas is finally moving!

  23. I am officially sleeved! Surgery was Tuesday 11/30. Had to stay in hospital an extra day because my blood pressure was high. It is back to normal and other than gas pains, I feel fine. Thanks for all your prayers and support!

  24. I have 2 sons, age 5 and 6. They are full of life and very observant. They always comment on my hair or my dress. Wondering how they will react to my weight loss? Anyone with small children care to share their reaction?

  25. So my friend who said she would NEVER speak to me again if I had weight loss surgery comes over yesterday for Thanksgiving. I dropped the bomb that I am having VSG on Tuesday, so this would be our lost moments together since she was dispowning me! I ended up sharing how I came to my decision and all the great things I've learned in this forum. Now guess who wants to have VSG?!?! SMH (I guess I get to keep my friend).
