    Feeling full

Do y'all never eat until you can't digest and throw-up what you've already eaten?

    Frustrated

@@zoeiyla hey! I was the exact same when I first started! Now I've lost over 100 pounds. You seem young like me when I started too. Evenutally you will get to your "sweet" spot where you forget what it feels like to be hungry. Which is amazing! Start working out, get your heart rate up! Stay positive. You'll lose it!!
  3. Hello friends! So I've had my band for 5 years. Just recently (within the past 6 months) I got Fluid out of my band and then went on a binge for eating whatever I wanted, gained 40 pounds. But believe me it felt good to eat carbs again. Now i'm back to my normal fluid with my normal portions with the lapband but now my husband and I are wanting to get pregnant, so naturally I stopped my birthcontrol and here we are waiting. My doctor says she's fine with me having fluid in my band but we will have to be careful that I continue to get baby and me the right nutrition. Have any of you done pregnancy with fluid in your band? Let me know!

  5. So catchy huh?! No but serious! I live in Dallas and I've been dating but it's hard to sit and have a meal because I'm banded. So If i would date maybe a fellow bandster It would be a little bit less of a painful process. So serious, lets date. Anyone can post on here if they want to date each other too. No pressure. Lets be friends- friends! Bold maybe? BUT ready for sure!

    Hair Loss ):

I have LOST SO much hair! it kinda looks like i had cancer. My hair started out thin... and is not thinner. But because i've lost SO much weight it went fast. By the handfuls. It grows back... so right now my hair is thick at top and thinner at the bottom but it's long and oober thin. I cried about it when it first starting happening and then when i upped my protein and it still didn't stop it was hard. But it's a cycle. You start losing hair about 3 months, peak at 6 and start losing the normal amount at 9 months after you begin losing faster. The reason I say faster is because it's really not by your surgery date. It's more from when you get that fill that just hits the spot and you have the rapid weight loss. But I wouldn't change my decision to get the band. I'm thin now, and my hair is growing. But eat your protein, and just hope it doesn't happen to rapid.

Oh Boy Oh Boy I Wish

Girl I totally understand! It's extremely hard... even though i went from a size 20 and now I'm in size 12. But there's nothing like going into a store and getting to pick out anything you want because you can fit it all! It's a great feeling. Your doing well. Keep up the hard work!!
  9. I have lost 63 lbs since surgery in Oct 2010, averaging a little over 10lbs a month. I'm at my 'sweet' spot- as they call it. I'm really never hungry, have to remember to eat. I completely changed my diet to mostly seafood & veggies. I enjoy a protein shake a day. You begin to feel great & thin cause your not bloated, your excited about having nothing fit you in your closet. Believe me, it comes off if you do what your taught pre-op. I can't wait to get the rest of the 70lbs off. I never thought I'd ever be thin! Get motivated girl & excited.... you will feel wonderful and truly sacrifice of fatty foods & junk become easy to let go. I don't even crave the things I used to! Good Luck to you friend!!
  10. So I had 4 fills. I'm currently at 7cc with a 11cc band & I'm at my 'sweet spot'. I had surgery though last October. I liked it gradually, because I could still eat things that I enjoyed in moderation & was losing weight because I had a little restriction, & food went down differently of course. I am down 58lbs since surgury. I'm still in awe that I'm still losing & I'm not really ever hungry. I have to think about eating. You will get there! It's gradually- stay motivated!! it's really exciting when you get to go buy a different size Jean & shirt. That's been my favorite part besides my clear skin from not putting all those toxins in my body!! Good Luck!!
  11. what kind of liquid diet did you do?

Ove what will help until I can got to dr

I had a fill 2 Tuesdays ago & was miserable, regurgitation after everything. My dr says fluids for 7 days after a fill. so not even purred food! Drink cold cold things, & slowly. Your stomache swells after you throw up, making it harder to keep stuff down. Small sips of water all throughout your day so you don't get dehydrated. Trust me, your body will adjust in a week, & you can start eating mushy foods. But thus is where you want to be. no portions over a small plate. Lose the appetite girly, this is where you want to be!!

    Medic altert bracelets

rkimron, your dr probably looked at you like you were crazy because your esophagus branches off, 1) to your stomach 2) to your lungs. when they intubate you... the tube goes to your lungs....has nothing to do with your stomach. just FYI so you can have a little backdrop so you dint say that again!
  14. I had my surgery done in San Antonio with True Results & loved it. I moved to Dallas, & see a new dr through True Results here, & just enjoy the NP that does my check up & fills. It's really a neat place. I think you'll enjoy it too!!

    Not to Tell?

NJGirl, I'm not married so I didn't struggle with that per say, but my mom and sisters know & there closest to me. My friends don't know, my Pops or my brother. Not even my Journal has entrys about my weight loss. But it's not that I'm embarrassed or even that I'm not willing to share. It's more of people might take it as bragging or an unhealthy means, so to savor myself from those types of conversations of trying to make me feel a certain way I've kept my mouth shut. Now telling your husband could be different. Yet I have a support group that I go to weekly, & we've become more of friends than just the commonality of having the same surgery. I would suggest this, & in due time I think you'll be excited to have your spouse walk along side of you' in this Journey. I've lost 56 lbs & was banded last Oct & it's exciting for people to see, but I havnt lied, I've told them my dieting has changed. Good luck to you!!
