  1. Have any of you actually been pregnant, but had a negative home pregnancy test? My cycle was coming on like clockwork, then it stopped, I'm a month late and CRAMPING LIKE CRAZY. I finally went to te dr, and took a blood test and I'm still waiting for the results. Just wanted to know if anyone went through the same thing.
  2. 1 years has passed since you registered at SleevePlicationTalk! Happy 1st Anniversary tnewton509!

  3. Wow................. I had my surgery on the 5th of April, and I am STILL GOING THROUGH THE EXACT SAME THING. Although now I'm not really throwing up any food or anything, because I'm too scared to eat, so now it's just saliva and Bile/stomach acid. I've gone to the ER thinking I was dehydrated, they tell me that my levels were great, and I wasn't really that dehydrated. So I don't know what in the heck is going on. I really wanna enjoy the weight loss and everything, but I just feel so weak, and I'm tired of throwing up. I see that people are trying Prilosec, I thought that was for heartburn? Well I will bring that up to my dr and see what they say, I just wanna feel better already.
  4. Well I haven't posted anything in a while. There are some good things going on and some bad things as well. I'll start with the good.....I'VE LOST 85lbs THUS FAR...................WHOO WHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On the flip side of that, this stupid nausea won't go away. I've been to the surgeon, the hospital and they don't seem to know what's causing it. The crazy thing is, alot of the time when I do throw up, nothing comes up for saliva, and then every once in a while this green stuff. Of course that does nothing but make my throat hurt even more. I'm still having this issue with my body tingling and feeling like it's asleep. I talked to the surgeon and he says it's not from dehydration, and at this time it's really nothing to be too concerned about; it's more of an annoyance than anything. Has anyone else ever had to deal with this? How about eating? I was a bit concerned that maybe I wasn't eating enough. I still eat about 2-3 bites maybe, sometimes 4....AND I AM DONE. EXCEPT for when I get cup of noodles. I have to watch it with them, they seem to go down pretty easy. Just thought I'd share and get some thoughts, and to see if anyone else has experienced any of these same things.
  5. Hello everyone, Well, I've finally hit my eight week mark and things are up sometimes and then they're down. Here are some of the things I'm dealing with and I want to know if anyone else has had any of these issues as well: Sore throat........my throat has been sore since they took that stupid tube from down my throat, again I'm two months out and it's still bothering me. Body part falling asleep..............as of today both of my legs and my stomach have that feeling when your body parts fall asleep, and now I'm getting scared because that sounds like poor circulation issue. My tongue feels so weird...................it like hurts whenever I eat something, hard or soft. Weak feeling........Do any of you still feel kind of weak after you eat? I even feel that way sometimes before I eat anything. Your input would be really helpful at this time. I really hope nothing is majorly wrong, I don't want to go back to the hospital.
  6. These noises won't go away....... these bubbly feelings inside just gross me out. Even more now because of sense of smell and already feeling gross. Everything smells, I don't even like sleeping in the same bed with my husband because everything stinks. Does anyone else have issues with the increased sense of smell? I throw up everyday..... it's just bananas. I guess this is where the "buyers remorse" syndrome kicks in. I went to my doctor and they said they are trying to figure out why this whole nausea phase is happening with the sleeve patients, but not everyone has it. I hope things start to turn around by Monday. I have been off work the entire month of April, and the last two weeks, I didn't have any leave, so it was a whole pay period of leave without pay. I can't afford to take any more days off, I just wanna get better.
  7. I can't stand this feeling. My sense of smell has kicked up a few knotches and mostly everything makes me sick. I know I'm only two weeks out, but when will this madness end. I just wanna feel normal again.

    Food not tasting the same

Yeah Ms Lady in NC,i don't know what it could be. I think it may also have something to do with the fact that I actually chewed the food down to like it's lowest consistency when I'm so used to chewing a few times and swallowing.
  9. Sooooo on our mushy stage, the NUT says that we can have melted cheese. So my husband ordered a pizza, and I attempted to eat some cheese from it and it made me realize one thing.......I NEVER CHEWED MY food BEFORE........ the cheese actually changed texture and it didn't taste the same, so I stopped trying. It just taste different all together. Does anyone else have this problem? What about drinking? When I drink Water, and juice, I have to sip, and it's weird if I take too big of gulp, but I got a sugar-free Slurpee and it's going down normal...... I wonder what that's all about.........

    How is this possible

But I thought is you eat and drink at the same time it gives you problems?

    How is this possible

She said right now she was at a stand still.................. I just can't imagine how that would be humanly possible.
  12. So I meet a lady today that had the sleeve a year ago......... and she says she's eating almost the same size as she used to eat pre surgery................. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE IN ONLY A YEAR.........HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE AT ALL?
  13. Yeah my doctor office suggest we don't in the beginning because of the air bubbles or something like that.
  14. Wow thank you all for the responses. I hate the fact that I have to sip so slowly......it makes me not want to drink, because sometimes I so easily forget and take too big of a sip and it gives me this queasy feeling. I know I'm only a week out, but this gives me something to look forward to.
  15. I know i have so many questions...........lol.... But, WE WILL HAVE TO SIP FOREVER or is this just now to get used to our new stomach? And will we EVER be able to drink from a straw again?
