I have the mirena, and no period after sugery.

Call them up. Some will cover if there is a medical reason. IE rashes from skin rubbing on skin etc. When you find out, please let me know! I have BCBS TX as well.

The video looks like the girl was extremely happy, said she enjoyed her weight loss, and was very happy. So I don't see the problem as long as the PARENTS and the CHILD come to a decision together!
That being said, personally, I wouldn't agree to let my child do it until they were older because of the risks of surgery. But if HER parents were okay with it, I think they made the right choice, she is well and happy, and looks like it improved her life quite a bit.

What's up people. I'm a lil over 4 weeks post op. I was sleeved on 10/1 at Mercy Medical center in Roslyn ,NY by Dr. Shawn Garber. I was looking in the mirror today and couldn't help but (not) notice my scar. I am super pleased so far with the results of my surgery, especially my scar. I have several friends that have the traditional scars. I am so glad I decided on the SILS. In case you are wondering i was 278 lbs on day of surgery , 246 yesterday. I'm on my way.

I have a larger sleeve I think -- though I don't know the actual size. I've been able to eat more than most right from the start. It hasn't hindered my weight-loss, and I specifically didn't want to get down to very low-cal eating; rather, to be at 1200+ asap after surgery. I also never lost my appetite, which has helped in terms of keeping calories up. I lost fairly steadily and not so fast, but I lost nearly everything, still hovering a few pounds above my 'goal' -- which was arbitrary and completely random.
So yeah, I definitely think it can be done with a bigger sleeve. FWIW.

I set my goal weight at 180 pounds I have about 10 pounds to go until I have reached my goal weight I started at 280 pounds and a 46+ waist pants I refused to buy bigger ones my shirt was 2 XL I am now at a 30 inch waist and a medium to larger shirt I like my shirt a little big if it is a tee shirt.
I haven't been this size in over 10 years I feel so much better my blood pressure is normal and no meds my ankle and feet knee pain is gone no meds
I just really feel good now

So today I was forced to buy my first pair of new pants. I'm 43 lbs down, and still walking around in my old "skinny pants" that are now falling off me. So I went to Wal-Mart (cause that's how I roll) and found several pair of pants, went to pay for them, and started putting them on the counter. It occured to me that I actually wasn't trying to hide the size when i put them up there. Pre-weight loss, I'd turn the pants over to make sure NOBODY could see what size it was because it was embarrassing. But tonight I was like, YEAH, THATS RIGHT! THOSE ARE 14's BABY....EVERYBODY SEE THAT?? 14's!!! YEP. 14 REGULAR, NOT PLUS> ANYBODY ELSE WANNA SEE?? CAUSE YOU CAN! CAUSE THEY'RE 14'S! Felt dang good.

I'm having my done in Dallas at TLC Edge, for $9990. Its not that much more than Aceves, and I get to stay in the states.

I had a long stall too, early on. It WILL break, and you WILL start losing again! You are doing the right thing by focusing on the positives! You're doing great, hang in there!
