  1. Hey Lynette. It's nice to see another GA gal here on VST. Good luck with your insurance approval!

    Mary

  2. Hey Deb. I'm doing great. Now that I'm well past the rough spots and the initial shock to my body, I can truly say this was the best thing I could have done for myself. I was looking at a couple of your posts last night thinking how successful you have been with your weight loss. I can tell you are rocking your sleeve! We will be at goal in no time!

  3. Congrats on getting your surgery done. It will definitely get better. The pain from the hernia repair was the WORST for me! It was very hard to drink at first. The pain started to lessen after the second week. You will totally be able to eat everything normal in a few months. I don't remember much about the pureed phase because I advanced to soft food quickly. Check out my blog on my po...

  4. Hey MN Mary. I am definitely glad I had the sleeve. I couldn't say that early on, but I still knew I had made the right decision even when things weren't so great post op. My biggest pointer is to force fluids early on even when you have no desire to put anything in your mouth. It's a necessity to stay hydrated! Best wishes with your surgery. I'll be looking for your post op messages.

  6. Thanks for adding me to your list!

  7. Hey Tiff. Can you please add me to your friends list? I miss looking at your pics. There are a great inspirition.

    Thanks, Mary

  8. My surgery date was June 22. It's nice to be getting back to normal. :-)

    Thanks

  9. Hey Deb. I'm glad you are doing so well after surgery. Stick with it trying to get the water and fluids in. Don't worry so much about the protein right now. That definitely takes time. But getting dehydrated is a BAD feeling. It sounds like you are doing great!

  10. Hey Slim,

Thanks for posting a message on my page. I actually started back to work on July 26th, but our kids started on the 9th also. I was a little worried that I wasn't going to be ready by the 26th, but magically my body got it together a few days before I went back. I was full of energy by the 9th and ready for the kiddies to come back. I have been so busy since then that I haven't been on VSG much. I checked out your latest picks and you look GREAT! WOW! Love the haircut too. I can't wait to break 200...

    :-) Mary

  11. Hey Slim. I posted a message on your page. Thanks

  12. I don't think anyone thinks that about you...not even the faker posting those crazy messages. Sometimes it's hard to trust your memory cuz we're a little hazy after surgery. I'm glad you had your memory of the situation confirmed.

  14. Kathy, I really hope you reconsider leaving VST. I too have considered leaving this site, and interesting enough it was related to some heated words that I had for someone regarding this doctor. I don't pretend to know much about him and I certainly don't have personal experience, but I have a serious problem with people being trashed for posting ANY type of negative experience at this clinic. So I let loose on the offending party. Well, here we go again with different players. Anyway, I decided that the benefits I get from this site FAR outweigh a negative interaction - especially if it's with a bully. We all need support, especially right after surgery. I think it'll be hard to find the support you get here anywhere else on the web. And trust me, there are very few people here who have any problem with what you said.

  15. Congrats on getting your approval and surgery date!

  16. Deb,

Have you heard anything from insurance yet?

  17. Deb, all I can say is that I'm feeling better every day. I can't say that I feel great yet, but I know I'll get there eventually. I've decided to not think about the regrets thing too much because it's easy to have regrets when you're feeling like crap or can't even swallow water good. I'm already seeing results with the weight loss so I'm just patiently waiting for things to level off. Thanks for asking. Have you been sleeved yet? I can't remember from your posts.

  18. Thanks for letting me know what you thought. I can totally understand how you feel. I've lost 7 pounds a week after surgery and I'm still thinking in the back of my mind that I'll be fat forever. I keep looking at before and afters and still can't see myself as ever being an "after". It's amazing how the mind plays tricks on us. I don't think you can fail with the sleeve!

  19. I'm coming along slowly Monica. Can't say that I've had a great day yet, but I know it's coming. I'm glad that things are better for you. I'm looking forward to enjoying the benefits of this surgery.

  20. I'm glad that you are recovering well. I got a date for June so I'm not far behind you. I had no idea Macik put his post-op patients on a soft diet so soon. That's good news!

  21. I can't wait to hear how your surgery went! I hope it went well and that you are able to post an update soon.

  22. You're welcome LAN.
