  1. Thanks for your support Kimmes! I am really struggling....Congratulations on your success and being so focused. I have got to get back on this site and get myself focused!!! Life has been really stressful and I have turned to my old standby - food.

I have not been following the rules and have unfortunately been eating pretty much whatever I want. I have got to get back on track....I have to reschedule my 6 month appointment until November as I have some training at work that I couldn't miss

  8. Heather - just checking in on you. How are you? We had surgery about the same time and started out at about the same weight. Unfortunately, I have really been struggling and have not been on here much lately. I need to re-focus and get my butt in gear. I'm down 50 pounds, but have not lost for 3 weeks - maybe a small gain. I don't have much restriction and have got to stay away from carbs!

  9. Deb - Just checking on you.....How are you girl? I'm struggling....unfortunately I have found that I can eat pretty much anything and don't have much restriction! I am trying to re-focus and get back on meat, eggs, cheese and stay away from those damn carbs!

  10. Hey Virginia. How are you? I have not been on here much lately and can definitely tell my resolve is not what it should be. I have found I can eat pretty much anything I want and this is not good. I'm back on meat, eggs, cheese, yogurt. I only get one shot at this and have found that I don't have much restriction. How you are doing well...unfortunately I think I have gained. Yikes!

  11. Sounds like you are doing great. I have been stalled for the last several weeks. I was sooo good about staying away from carbs and have been eating some carbs lately so think that is probably why. I really need to get focused again!

  13. Hi Deb! Looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday. My appt is at 2:15 so not sure when I'll be done. Last time I went I waited for an hour or more before I got in. Hopefully - not the case this time. I would think I'd be done by 3:00. Dr. H's new location is 23401 Prairie Star Pkwy, Suite 300, Lenexa. It says it is in the SM Prairie Star Outpatient Pavilion. Renee

  14. Hey Deb. I checked and my appt with Dr. H is June 15 at 2:15. If you want to meet at his office that would be great. Did you know his office moved? The scale is moving again, I'm down 2 pounds from last week. I really need to get some exercise in......!!!!

  15. Just checking in on you. How are you getting along? I see your ticker says you have lost 52 pounds...that is awesome! You are doing great. We had surgery about the same time and am moving along about the same pace. Is any of loss due to pre-op diet? I'm feeling like I can eat more lately and need to cut back, as well as get my butt moving. Working too much and taking an online class.

  16. Hi Deb! How are you? I'm doing okay...sort of slowed down on my weight loss. I need to start exercising, but have been working too many hours and taking an online class so am just sitting on my butt!

  17. have been eating chicken and ground beef most the time. I don't seem to have any trouble with ground beef as I thought I might. We went to Mexican Restaurant and I ordered a taco with no lettuce. Dumped the filling out (ground beef and cheese) and added salsa. It was really good! I also had some of Arby's roast beef. It is sliced really thin and I did not have any trouble with that.

  19. Not sure. I have had a small piece of SF Hersey Bar and did fine as I just let it melt in my mouth. I'm trying to stay away from protein bars due to the carbs but have wondered about them too.

  20. So good to hear from you. I'm glad you have picked yourself up and are feeling better. I have really missed you and have thought about calling you, but didn't want to bug you. I am doing well. Don't seem to be having much problems at all. I have an appointment with Dr. H in June (June 15 I think). Anyway, lets try to get together when I'm up your way. It would be great to see you again!

  21. It's good you are working out so much. I keep telling myself I need to get with it. I am just starting to feel like I could get going on some exercise so need to kick it in gear.
