Stall? Or am I getting greedy?

Water will be your best friend. As I drink my water and make sure I get all my nutrients in I start losing again. Your body will think it's in starvation mode if it doesn't have the nutrients it needs. Focus on that protein too!
  2. I have both of those. I haven't seen much of an improvement of them yet, but I'm only 3 weeks out. I am doing well though.
  3. 2 and a half weeks out now. Still having that pain but it's getting better every day. Just wish the scale would move a little quicker now LOL!

  4. So I am putting up a picture of my incisions, I am one week out from my surgery and I thought some people who are going into surgery might like to see what the incisions look like And a question. I am still in a lot of pain in just one spot on my abdomen near my largest incision. It hurts most when i got from standing to sitting or vice versa or when standing and walking. It is keeping me from walking much, and even today I could only shower for about five minutes before I had to get out and sit down because it hurt so much. I had to stop taking my pain meds because they just made me so sick. I have been using tylenol and a heating pad. And I wanted to know if anybody else had these problems and how long did it last? Is it anything I should be concerned about? Any advice would be very appreciated!
  5. I wanted to go to a movie today. And I was wondering what everybody eats at the movie theater? What would be sleeve friendly?
  6. first time i had cottage cheese I could only eat a 1/4 cup because it made me so full. You need to wait a couple minutes between bites so you give your body a chance to tell you that you are full.
  7. Happy Easter everybody! Too bad I can't eat anything! lol

Able to drink too much too soon??

I am not feeling much restriction either, and I am about 10 days out too. I think our swelling just went down really quick. My doctor assures me that the restriction will be very noticeable once we get to more solid foods
  9. I think that's funny. My period started right before too. Then as soon as I got there it went into hiding for a week and a half, now it's starting again, lol

5 weeks post op - 18 years old

Baked ricotta Used a container of fat free ricotta cheese, a container of sugar free Pasta sauce, one egg, italian spices, and some parm cheese. Mix it all together and put in a pan and put some shredded cheese on top and bake until bubbly. It's yumtastic
  11. It wasn't bad at all. It pinched a little and the incisions are kinda itchy and sore because they don't have staples protecting them, but they put steri strips over the top so I don't have to worry about them opening or anything. I am happy to have them out though. Thanks for asking :)

  14. One week out from surgery. Still having some pretty bad pain. Hoping it goes away soon

  15. So I had my surgery a week ago and started on full liquids today. And all day whenever I eat something I start to get dizzy. Has this happened to anybody else?
  16. Okay, that sounds good. I just wanted to make sure that nothing was wrong! I can stick it out if I know it will go away!
  17. I had my surgery last Wednesday at 7:30 AM. Pre op was nice, and relaxing. But unfortunately I woke up sooner than they wanted me to. Normally people wake up in recovery after they had a pain shot, but I woke up as soon as they took the anesthesia off me and before they could give me a pain shot. I remember hearing "uh, she's awake" I got pain shots every 5 minutes in recovery. I had a catheter in and oxygen on because I had really shallow breathing and fast heart rate due to the pain. I was only able to stand up for about a couple minutes that day, and I slept a lot. Pain wasn't so bad when I was sitting still. The next day I had the barium swallow, which tastes really bad and didn't want to go through my stomach which was really swollen at the top. But everything went well from that. My doctor came and talked to me, told me I had one of the biggest stomachs he had ever taken out and that everything was going well. (Up to that point I wasn't sure if he had actually done the surgery since my stomach didn't feel any different LOL!). I had my catheter out and went for a walk, and got the oxygen off. I felt much better that day. I also got my room service tray which has Jello, broth, crystal light and a popsicle. It took me about 3 hours to finish that, and when I was done they were bringing in yet another tray. When I was at the hospital that food seemed sooooooooooo good. Later that day I got put on pain meds by mouth and decided to stay one more night. Didn't sleep as well that night tho. Spent a lot of it drinking the liquids on the trays they kept bringing me. On Friday I was able to take a shower and for some reason I was crying and shaking the entire time, not really sure why. Maybe because of how tired I was. Or because I got to see the actual incisions, they didn't look so fantastic. No swelling or anything, but they are closed with staples and that's pretty gross..... I felt good washing my hair and getting into my own nightgown and going home. Now that I am home I really don't want to eat anything. I am trying my best to keep up with Water, but I don't want broth or anything else. It all seems so gross to me. My pain meds are making me really drousy, and I can't decide if I want to be in pain or if I want to be drowsy. I have been sleeping a lot. I am getting my staples out sometime this week. Probably on Thursday. I am supposed to start full liquids then too. On another note, they scared me in the hospital, saying that if I didn't start passing gas or having more urine I would be stuck there for much longer. Well I have much more urine at home now, and I got some definite rumbles going on down there now! Hurray for peristalsis! LOL. If you have any questions just ask. I will answer as I can see the screen, lol
  18. My time is finally here! I am heading off to the hospital in just 1 hour for my surgery! My name is Gayle and I am 21 year old female that is hypothyroid and weighs 400 lbs. I am still surprised with myself that I have made the decision to have this surgery, and it still doesn't feel real yet. I guess I am still afraid something will happen to make the surgery get canceled! I made it all the way through the liquid pre op diet, and that wasn't even that hard! My mouth right now is kind of dry, but I am not supposed to have anything to eat or drink after midnight so I guess I will just have to put up with that. I didn't sleep much, too much excitement. Actually haven't been sleeping well for about a week now! I am so ready for this to happen for me! I will post about my surgical experience later, but I just couldn't wait to post about this! Thanks everybody!
  19. Less than 24 hours until my surgery now. Can't wait!

  20. My surgery is april 13th! it's almost here! I have to go in at five in the morning, but I am glad because i'm sure i won't sleep that night. On another note I am kinda hungry on my pre op diet (which is full liquids) if there is any advice you guys can give i would really appreciate it. Also any advice on anything else would be really welcome! Thanks so much!
  21. Blend the mashed potatoes with milk and unflavored protein powder and think you should be okay
  22. Day 3 of pre op diet over. Just 4 more to go.
